It was all around fine and the staff was great. It was hard to find and there was no parking but it was centrally located for what we needed.

great value

I was very pleased. Like many places in Europe they do not have air conditioning, and it was rather hot humid humid. We kept the windows open all night, at least they did open. The best thing about Dublin is that there are plenty of taxi cabs at all hours of the day and night, it was really easy to get ourselves and our luggage transported. Chatting with Dublin cab drivers is great fun !!

Worst Hotel Experience

I would never rate an experience poorly, so please take this into very serious consideration when selecting this hotel: I was expecting a fantastic stay- as any time that I have stayed in Dublin has been nothing less than extraordinary. DO NOT GO HERE if you have friends that you wish to spend time with in your hotel room during the day or night. Doors are locked and the night staff is extremely unwelcoming and oppressive. I was threatened and verbally harassed while I stayed there for four nights. Lawyer involved and everything. The room was very clean though it was extremely tiny. Do not stay here-- too expensive for nothing at all.

Thanksgiving in Dublin

Great location for wandering around Dublin and seeing the sites. The staff was very friendly and helpful particularly when we planned a day trip to the seaport village of Howth and were unfamilar with the DART transportation system. And the manager Jerry even took the time to teach me to pull a pint at thebar. We definitely would return to the Arlington Hotel. Bob and Rick

Sightseeing tip: Long walk from hotel

Make sure to have a tour of Trinity College, led by one the students. They are quite personable, with lots of interesting information told with humorous anecdotes. And it includes a chance to see the Book of Kells in the admission price.

Good Value

Hotel staff was very nice. We arrived early but they held our bags until check-in. Rooms were average but clean. Location felt very safe and was walking distance to many things. Check out the dinner show the hotel offers, enjoyed it. Would stay there again.
