Great Location in Dublin
Stayed four nights while visiting Dublin and northern part of the country. Staff very helpful, we arrived before check in and were able to drop our bags at the front desk so we didn't have to carry them with us while shopping that morning. Had a problem with heat in the room but were moved to another room. Nothing elegant about the rooms, and they are small, but they provide all that is needed. I did notice that the tub/shower floor was several inches higher than the bathroom floor making it awkward to step out, possibly a problem for those not stable on their feet (there are no hand rails). Main feature about this hotel is location. Dining area very nice, has a bar and stage where Irish dancers perform every night (dance show is free). The tourist office is right down the street where you can get lots of information about local attractions. Found a 24 hour cafe/convenience store about a block away.

Great mini break
All hotel and bar staff were very welcoming and friendly and the general overall service given was excellent for our requirements. The Irish dancing/music entertainment provided each night was an added bonus. The hotel location is extremely convenient for touring the city as the local/city tour buses and airlink bus all have stops within metres of the Arlington.

In addition to the excellent food provided at the Arlington, try to sample the very enjoyable cuisine at the Italian restaurant alongside the river in the Temple Bar area, nearby .

If think about this price. It`s OK.
I choose this hotel because location. Room is very old. Bath room is feeling not clean. because old hotel. There is no hotel parking. You should use public parking. ( You need about day/$15 for parking.) If you want to stay down town Dublin. It is so so OK hotel.

Good hotel, great location!
Great location, just slightly west of Temple Bar area, and east of Christ Church. In city center, and walkable to most sights. Airlink bus from the airport stops right out in front of the hotel for 10 euro return. Our large, twin room was on the second floor alley side, so noise was never an issue, and we were there for New Years Eve! Room was large, clean and comfortable. Free wi-fi, worked great. Bathroom was also large. Only issue was water temperature, first day scalding hot. After a quick call to front desk, someone did come up and adjust it right away. Two other times water was all cold, and had to call to report. One of the times we were in a hurry and had to settle. So no fun there. Other than the water issue it was a great stay! Great price due to the 4 nights for the price of 3! Would stay there again!

Perfect!
This was a great place to sleep at night. It's located near everything in Dublin but it's clean and safe and the room was comfortable. We enjoyed Legends bar too. I traveled with one friend and we both enjoyed the hotel. We were able to go out in Temple Bar and easily get to our bus tours early in the morning.

Great location
The hotel was as expected. Old but still nice and clean enough for my strict standards. It's walking distance from all the main attractions and close to many nice pubs. One thing to note is when booking through the [...]website the hotel recieves only limited info. They booked a standard room for two, but we had three people. The hotel was very accomodating and took care of us.Great trip!

You can see the Dublinia exhibition and Christchurch Catherdral for a reduced cost when starting at the Dublinia exhibition. They are right next to each other a block to two from the hotel. Alas, we did not see this advertised and went in the wrong order. Had to pay full price for both.

Not Worth the Price
Let me say that the hotel was clean. That was good. And it seemed to have been remodeled from the last time I was there. We enjoyed the dinner and live Irish music and dance show in the dining room/bar. However, the halls were very narrow, and the supposed stairway exit in case of fire was locked. This was 3 floors down, so by the time someone tried to escape and found they had to go back up 3 floors, it would be too late. Also, we were supposed to have gotten twin beds, but ended up with a king bed. While it was not the hotel's fault, I guess, there was loud noise from the streets all night long. I've stayed in another hotel up the street and was not bothered by this noise. Nonetheless, staff was very, very accomodating and friendly. I just think the hotel is not worth what they are charging for it. Perhaps they were charging more because we stayed there right around St. Pat's Day.

The reason we chose this hotel is that it is so close to St. Patrick's and Christchurch Cathedral, Dublin Castle, Temple Bar, Odyssey Theatre, shopping, etc.

The floors & walls..paper thin
. Great location, near most everything, a walk will get you there . Hate to say anything negative because I really did enjoy my stay. . Old building updated which is what I love and look for when in Europe traveling, bit of an issue with this situation, there is no insulation between the floors nor in the walls between the rooms. The original floor boards under the carpet squeak loudly from your upstairs and same floor next door neighbors, even with a quiet neighbor you'll know exactly what time in the night they rolled over, I kid you not. Rather thankful that my 8 nights there no one above, below or next to my room was having a passionate night, shall we say. . Staff was friendly, room was clean and location was spot on....a few beers in the evening made all that noise transfer from room to room go away. I'd still go back there honestly. . Chicago guy.
