Enjoyed my stay here

The best thing about the Arlington Hotel is probably the location. It's right on the River Liffey, and is an easy walk to O'Connell Street, or over the river to Temple Bar, Trinity College, Grafton Street, and lots of other Dublin locations. It's also near an Airlink bus stop for easy access to the airport. The rooms in the hotel itself are plain and basic, but they're clean and of a decent size. We didn't have any problems with noise from the other rooms. There is free wifi available in the lobby, which was nice. There is also a live Irish music/dance show in the bar every night, which was a lot of fun. I would stay here again.

Decent Hotel, Great Location

The Arlington Hotel O'Connell Bridge is in a great location, easily within walking distance to key sights around Dublin. The room was spacious enough and the beds were comfortable. The shower was awful! The pipes made a horrible screeching sound every time we used it, the temperature was inconsistent and the water pressure wasn't great. If you can put up with that, the price and location are worth it.

Great Location and reasonably priced

I stayed at the Arlington on a mix of business and pleasure. It was great place to stay with friends, very convenient but also great for the two days I stayed here alone. Clean comfortable rooms, friendly staff and I felt safe.

Fantastic Hotel

I would definitely recommend this hotel to people of all ages. Ive stayed there twice now and found not one single fault. The rooms are spotless, the staff are really friendly and will do their best to help you find even the most obscures of places! The location's great. Right on the River Liffey and just across the bridge is the famous Temple Bar area. Have to say though that Dublin isnt the cheapest of places. A pint of Guinness cost between 4-6 euros and eating out is expensive too! Would highly recommend The Viking Splash Tour, which is a bus that tours the city and then transforms into a boat for a cruise along the Liffey. The Ghost Bus was also well worth the money. The staff on both of the above mentioned tours were extremely funny and entertaining. It was excellent value for money!! The Dart is an inexpensive way to get around. It's the tram / train system that runs approx every 10 minutes and an all day ticket only cost us 7euros each. We visited the coast and some really quaint places. Lastly.. i best mention the entertainment in the hotel! It was fantastic. The live music is brilliant and then they have Irish dancers and it's all free.. which was fab! My other favoutite pub was O'Garrity's but as it gets later the beer prices increase bu the hour!!

Great Price and Location

Hotel rooms are nice, most of the staff is pretty friendly and the location is GREAT! Right across the street from Temple Bar, and many bus stops right outside the hotel's front door. There is also a bar in the hotel but I never found the noise to be a problem, and you have to have a room key to use the elevators so no crazy drunk people can get to your room. Family friendly. I would stay here again for sure.

Entertainment tip: In Hotel

They have a bar in the hotel that has a irish step show every night. DON'T BUY THE DINNER/SHOW combo... its FREE which they don't tell you before you go all you have to do is get to the bar early have a drink and watch the show instead of paying an arm and a leg for the dinner. Also depending on when you go Riverdance might be showing and you can get cheap tickets when you get there.

Great location, average hotel

Stayed at the Arlington Hotel while vacationing in Dublin. After brief confusion over our reserved room (we swapped rooms 3 times before getting our standard two beds in on room)we had a pleasant stay. The front desk staff were always courteous and helpful. We enjoyed the Irish dancing show in the lounge area, would definitally recommend this. The food was OK. Wouldn't bother buying the continental breakfast. You get cereal, yogurt, toast and some old looking fruit. There are many coffee and bagel shops around that have better options. The location is wonderful. You're a block from O'Connell Street (you can catch a shuttle to the airport here)and within a 10-15 minute walk to Trinity College, Dublin Castle, the temple bar area and Christchurch Cathedral. The music from the bar can be very loud. The music stops at 11pm on weekdays except for Friday, don't plan on going to bed early... Overall, very nice stay. Hospitable staff, clean rooms and lots of hot water.
