Location, Location, Location

Would recommend Sat, Jan 30, 2016
The best thing about the hotel has to be the location, right in the heart of the city, perfect base for all your activities in Dublin. The Hotel itself is a bit tired and run down, rooms could certainly do with a re-vamp and a lick of paint, but they are clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Overall for the price its a good place to stay, the bar and restaurant and the Celtic nights entertainment is great. Definitely Recommended.

Walk anywhere...

Would recommend Tue, Jan 19, 2016
The Arlington has an old-fashioned feel to it – the very opposite of a boutique hotel – but everything works well. Good-sized rooms, well warm in winter, charming staff and a wonderful location, within walking distance of most of Dublin's attractions. The bar is large, impersonal and characterless. Only use it if you can't be bothered to track down some of Dublin's wonderful real pubs.

First Visit to Eire

Would recommend Fri, Dec 18, 2015
Stayed here last week on the spur of the moment (8 to 10 Dec 2015). Had a wonderful stay. The staff were super friendly and helpful. They were willing to go the extra mile for me at various times (offering to fix my shower when it did not work properly, offering me various options to get around the city, etc.) My double room was well lit and clean. My double bed was comfortable. The full Irish breakfast every morning was delicious. The location is convenient to the River Liffey. I would definitely stay here again.

Nov. 2015 Stay

Would recommend Thu, Dec 3, 2015
We had a huge room overlooking the River Liffey. Great location and absolutely amazing value for the price. We were a bit worried because it was such a deal, but it was one of the better rooms I've stayed at in Dublin. Great location for exploring the city. Not all rooms have access to an elevator so be sure to specify if you need one. Bar has live music, but we never ran into any problems with noise levels.

fabulous place to stay

Would recommend Mon, Nov 2, 2015
everybody in the hotel who we spoke to was helpful, extremely friendly, couldn't do enough for you. breakfasts were the tastiest beakfast ever. the bar and its staff were great, especially john. the location was perfect for on foot or the hop on hop off buses. we went in October and it was lovely, but I would love to see it in the summer when the trees are in full leaf instead of them losing their leaves .

Great long weekend

Would recommend Tue, Jul 7, 2015
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, while the rooms were not high class, they were very acceptable (Only gripe was there was no water pressure from sink hot tap - room 316). The central location for shopping, socialising (Temple Area) and bus stops for tours etc was fantastic. We went to the Gaiety Theatre to see Riverdance which was an easy stroll both ways, with lots to see and do in between. The hotel offered lots of free entertainment throughout the day and evening and in the room we occupied this did not disturb us in any way. All round good choice!

First trip to Ireland, Dublin was first stop

Would recommend Sat, Jul 4, 2015
Probably not the most experienced traveler, but was surprised that there is a gizmo that you put your room key into to activate electricity in the room (desk forgot to tell me, but quickly answered question when I called). Rooms could use a refresh, but the location was fantastic - plenty of things to see and do within a short and scenic walk. Would have appreciated wash cloths (apparently, not common in Irish hotels - so bring your own, along with facial tissues - I found both at a nearby pharmacy, but still). Staff was very helpful in recommending local eating places (Beshoff for fish and The Breadhouse for a sandwich - both very close by). And, if you're at the Dublin castle, go ahead and give the Dublin Castle Tea Room a try.

brilliant 40th birthday.

Would recommend Mon, Apr 6, 2015
Dublin was amazing, and the Arlington hotel was just perfect. The hotel does not have much curb appeal, however it is like Pandora's box. In side we were greeted with a warm welcoming service, and we were pleasantly surprised with how enchanting and rustic the hotel was. I recommend this hotel to anyone (probably not young families) we will most certainly be going back ☺️
