The Arlington Hotel
The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was great for the sights we wanted to see. The super large pub with live entertainment was the largest pub we saw in Dublin. Overall this was a excellent bargain.

CITY BREAK
The best thing was its location, close to the airport bus stop and walking distance from everywhere in the city centre. Next best was the lively music in the ground floor nightly club. However the reception staff were fairly uninvolved with the customers after the first arrival, and there could have been a better lobby lounge facility while waiting for the room to be ready. In the bedroom there were no extra blankets (to replace the duvet) and these had to be requested. Breakfast very varied but too costly at 7.euros.

TRIPLE CHARGED ! ! !
My previous stays here were nice and efficient. Had stayed in remodeled rooms and never one problem. This stay was very annoying and the hotel will not respond to my emails. I prepaid online. They claimed it did not get processed, had no record of it. So I gave them another credit card expecting that they would resolve this quickly. Upon leaving, I'm told I owe them money. I told them I prepaid and even wrote the confirmation on the key envelope. I let them charge my other credit card thinking the credit card company must have blocked the charge since I was out of country. They ran my card twice. I only received one receipt, but I checked my credit accounts once home....twice. And thinking now they charged me EUROS instead of US dollars...so they may have overcharged me again. Going through the channels now to get this refunded but the hotel has not responded to one email and forget calling. Called twice and the girls couldn't understand me and no one else was around to talk to. On top of that, the room was quite a step down from previous stays. Shower head cradle was broke so you couldn't take a shower. Good thing their was a tub. AND sink faucets barely trickled out water with both open full blast. The only bright side was that the cleaning staff kept the room spotless. I'm a very neat person but it's nice to know the cleaning staff takes pride in their work and does an excellent job.

Great Spot on the River Liffey across from Temple Bar
From arrival to departure, the friendly staff was amazing. Cheers to Kenny, Gillian and Ireena! Although we didn't go for one reason or another on the 2 nights we stayed, the Irish dancing is on every night at 9, apparently it's a must see. While using my laptop in the lobby (full wifi coming soon), I did hear the hoots, hollers and foot stomping of the crowd and performers in the very large bar area, part of which also serves as a restaurant for breakfast. If you're including Britain on your trip, remember that while Ireland uses the Euro, Northern Ireland is part of Britain and still uses the pound.

Loved Dublin!
The hotel was a place to sleep but we would not have wanted to spend time there. At check in we let them know there were two of us and that we needed 2 beds but the room they assigned us to had only a king size bed. It was a bother to have to go back and set it right. THis hotel is nothing special BUT it is very close to all the action. It was an inexpensive hotel in a very good location.

Awesome location
Overall a good value for the price. The room was large and spacey and the bed comfortable. Its very central location, we walked every where from the hotel. The only down side was that there is a bar down stairs (like most hotels in dublin) and our window opened up to an alley way where there were loud people and garbage pick up at around midnight and unloading trucks early in the morning. So it would wake up the light sleeper.

Enjoyed my stay here
The best thing about the Arlington Hotel is probably the location. It's right on the River Liffey, and is an easy walk to O'Connell Street, or over the river to Temple Bar, Trinity College, Grafton Street, and lots of other Dublin locations. It's also near an Airlink bus stop for easy access to the airport. The rooms in the hotel itself are plain and basic, but they're clean and of a decent size. We didn't have any problems with noise from the other rooms. There is free wifi available in the lobby, which was nice. There is also a live Irish music/dance show in the bar every night, which was a lot of fun. I would stay here again.
