Very good for business trip or holiday

Provided us with a good base for our Dublin holiday. 15 minute bus ride from city centre. Hotel could have given more info on bus times (espec. Sunday times). Overall, excellent hotel.

The Ardmore Experience

We stayed on the 5th.floor the room was constantly hot although the heating was not on, opening the windows increased the heavily used main road vehicle noise, a minor moan as the main road provided bus stops just outside the hotel for the city centre to and from. All staff members friendly and helpful.

A nice place to stay, no troubles...

No frills, but a clean, safe place to stay. Easy access to Dublin on Rte 140 bus line, (it was great to rub elbows with the local commuters). It was very economical to stay at the Ardmore Hotel, and the staff at the desk and in the dining room were extremely polite. Also a short walk to Tesco and Burger King.

A great place to stay

A little out of the way, but an easy ride from the center of town on the 140 bus toward Ikea. Catch the bus near the "spire" in the middle of Dublin and ask the bus driver to let you know when he gets to The Ardmore. The Ardmore staff was wonderful, friendly and helpful, and the restaurant was excellent. We e-mailed the Hotel for a couple special requests and the staff was very accommodating and they just made it happen for us. If we go to Dublin again, we'll definitely stay at The Ardmore. Our room was spacious and comfortable.

Nightlife tip: Short drive from hotel

Go to the middle of town, just past "The Spire", and take a walk down Temple Bar street on a Friday or Saturday night. Even if you aren't after a drink, it's entertaining, and there are some excellent restaurants.

Short Business Trip

Staff were decent in helping to answer query. It is also good for backpackers or business trippers who want to discover Dublin a little before or after their work. It is slightly inconvenient in terms of buses (2.15 or 2.40 euros each way) but that is to be expected as you want a hotel that is just as good as the ones in town but for a cheaper price (for the nights that your company do not expense for)

Basic, but pleasant experience

This hotel was very basic needs covered, was fairly clean and the front desk was friendly. It was nice having the bus stop right in front of the hotel, but it wasn't as close to the city center as I thought. It takes around15 min bus ride to city center and the bus usually comes every 20 min. I had a pleasant experience but didn't blow my mind. Will probably stay somewhere else next time.

A relaxing break

We had a lovely relaxing break at a good price. The only real issue for us was that it was a bit further out of the city (approx 15 mins on the bus) than we would have liked. However it was a lovely hotel with lovely pleasant staff.

Handy for the City centre

Good, clean hotel right on the bus route to the City. Room was excellent, staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again. Could perhaps think about turning the heating down though.
