Weekend break

Can't fault the location and hotel leisure facilities. Perhaps an atm machine installed in a hotel of this size woul be an advantage although not a deal breaker. Our room had a double bed and a single bed so there was plenty of room. Unfortunately our room overlooked the next office block so views limited. The hotel itself was spotless and the meals served in the kudos bar were enjoyable. All staff were polite and helpful which always makes a stay more enjoyable.

Time-saving tip: Not Applicable

Underground car park is accessed via small street along hotel. GPS doesn't take you to that location which means you would have to drive all around the area via oneway streets to get back.

great location

Beautiful hotel but not very cozy and homely. Too business like for us Lovely rooms and nice view of river. However beds rock hard and pillow too high and hard. We asked for softer pillows and got one. Ideal for a few days to see cork city centre though. Staff very friendly and nice

Not impressed

The hotel was ok! Nothing better than what you find in a 3 star hotel (I would expect a bit more in a 4 star...). However, what really threw me off was the fact that I got to the room so thirsty and craving for a coke (even willing to pay "whaterver" price for it) and the minibar was LOCKED! Ha, seriously, locked so I wouldn't leave without paying for a coke... After paying almost €300 for a 2 night stay, I expected at least the respect of getting my credit card in advance and leaving me free to enjoy the "perks" of being in a hotel. I phone the reception and hte explained then that I need to come down and leave a deposit so I would have access to the precious minibar.... No, thanks! If I wanted to come down to the reception everytime I wanted a drink, I would have stayed in a less expensive hotel.... Not impressed, especially when I was there to celebrate my birthday, which was not even acnowledged by the hotel staff. Not impressed at all!!

Great place to stay but food was awful

Great place to stay and great location but breakfast on the 2 days we stayed was awful, bacon like cardboard, sausages were only cooked on one side and were tasteless. no butter for toast and forgot to provide milk for the tea all this for a supplement fee of €20 = not good value for money

big disapointment

requested a quiet room on check in. room next to a busy street looking into a busy newspaper office who appear to work 7 day a week booked a superior room, it was just a very ordinary over furnished room, with black patches of mould in the bathroom , the hotel obviously caters more for the corporate client main reception area in need of a make over, just take a look at the ceiling. Breakfast was buffet style so lots of overcooked tepid food, no food tongs available on the bread section so people where handling bread rolls and then putting them back in the basket , would avoid in future
