This is a deluxe hotel - in classic and historical colonial style type of building. This hotel is the only historical hotel in Surabaya featuring banquet and conference facilities for up to 450 people, fully equipped business center and board rooms, a comprehensive health club offering a gym, tennis court, and one swimming pool. (10/08 CB). Majapahit hotel is a historic colonial-style type of building with graceful architecture & landscaped gardens. Majapahit hotel (previously known as Mandarin Majapahit - under chain of Mandarin Oriental) is located in the central business and shopping district of Surabaya, which is only 15km from the Juanda Airport or around 25 minutes by car to the hotel. Diamond in the Rough - perfect!

I always stay at your standard sheratons, marriots, etc. for business travel - but noticed the wording 'the only colonial hotel in surabaya'. I went for a change, and found this delightly hotel built by the Dutch in 1910. It has been restored/maintained to a fantastic standard - I couldn't believe my luck. Brass washroom faucets, elegant period furniture, ceiling fans - I can't say enough good things about the place - amazing swimming pool, spa, etc.
