Genuine Luxury
Our stay at this hotel could not have been improved upon. Hotel has a beautiful entry and lobby. The service was amazing, the hotel staff genuinely interested in our comfort;helpful;all speaking perfect English. Having lived in Jakarta fifty years ago, I hosted a tea party for old friends that was fabulous (and extremely reasonable!). The dining room serves an international buffet for breakfast that includes Chinese, Japanese, Indonesian and all continental or American food..all superbly presented, prepared. Room and pool food service were excellent, too. Security measures are very stringent at entry (good, I guess) but staff was always pleasant about it. Location is perfect for a business visit as it is in central Jakarta's Golden Triangle. For visitors like ourselves, the morning walks weren't great. We felt truly pampered at this hotel and would highly recommend it.

Shopping tip:
Short drive from hotel
Because of its central location, everything is available at close distance but you need to have a taxi or driver. Arranged by the concierge, the prices are fair, available 24/7. Shopping malls, restaurants are 15-30 minutes away depending on traffic (which is ghastly and driving yourself should not be attempted by the westerner in my opinion1)
