bad for solo traveler as street is dark
yes, close to shopping center, but at 8 pm its dark with no one on the street and not safe area to be walking along. used taxi because afraid to walk alone and i am a very, very experienced traveler of over 100 countries and still alive!

Triniti Hotel Batam
The hotel was very clean and comfortable for the price. Additionally, the room was very spacious. My only draw back about the hotel was the area. The area doesn't seem very safe, especially for family. Also, be weary of the inflated prices for foreigners on this Island, know your exchange rate and translate every transaction with your local currency in mind. We were there for the nightlife and food. Golfing is also prevalent on this Island, and the sea food was very fresh (Golden Prawns Restaurant).

4階のVistaRoomでしたがインターネットは通じません。
4階のVistaRoomでしたがインターネットは通じません。フロント近辺しか通じないかと思います。設備欄に記載のあるドライヤーは部屋にはありませんでした。 Doubleの部屋を予約したのですがSingleBedを2台横並びにしてあっただけでした。 全室禁煙というわけではないみたいなのですが灰皿は1階のレストランにしかなく、部屋への貸し出しはありません。 フロント係はあまり英語が得意ではないようですので、電話では通じない事があります。対応自体は気持ち良く対応してくれます。 NAGOYA HILL HyperMart Matahariへは徒歩10分程ですので明るいうちは歩いてもいいかと思うのですが、夜間はこのホテルの周りは相当暗いのでタクシーが良いかと思います。 徒歩３分位のところにサークルKがあります。
