Champlung Mas Hotel Bali

Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. Though Wi Fi is not available here, they do have two computers in the restaurant for guests to use at a nominal charge per half hour. The hotel and grounds were kept in a clean state at all times. The pool is a very social spot with its nearby bar. A 10 minuet walk to the beach and it is centrally located in downtown Kuta only minuets from anyplace you wish to go within the town. The rooms were spacious and clean but a bit damp at times (but I was there during the Monsoon Season too. The tile floors have a hard time drying in the damp atmosphere. The ac worked just great and the cottages are cozy. PLenty of hot water in the showers. Yes there is a tub but no stoppers for it so showering is your only option. Located at the northern end of Kuta in the shopping district if you can call it that. Yes I would stay here again. Breakfast came with the room and you had a choice of American; which consisted of two eggs, three strips of bacon, toast, juice and Balinese coffee that was delicious, and a plate of fruit. The traditional Balinese breakfast consisted of a large portion of fried rice with two eggs fried on top, a bowl of mixed fruit, usualy pineapple, papaya, and mango or banana, and again, the juice and coffee. A bank is situated just around the corner to handle all of your needs and there is a convienance store (circle K) located right next door outside the gate. Transportation is available at reasonable prices on site. You can rent motorbikes or hire a taxi on site. The place is safe and secure. They are in the midst of building a new expansive wing that is high rise so the accomadations will change in the near future. Any one books a room next to the construction site will no get any peace until late at night as they work till around 2200 with hammers banging and general construction noise. Away from the construction site and you are golden. Overall, a really nice gem hidden in the dust of the city, affordable, and comfy. I highly recommend this place.

The Hotel is located at a central location in Legion-Kuta border, the entrance is via a narrow street which is very busy at peak hour. You need to get educated on walking single file in order to survive the first few days, so that the endless motor bikes and cars can get past safely. Crossing any road requires that you look both ways, then look again , then quickly cross, this is survival training for anywhere in Bali. Having said that, do not be put off, the Hotel itself is good and the rates are reasonable. The pool is one of the better ones for that type of Hotel. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Generally costs are minimal for anything, including organising a Hotel car and driver for local tours. The room I had was generally very good, but poor lighting in the bathroom and lack of powerpoint there, was a negative, but you can adapt. The positives outway the negatives, so in summary, it is a great place to stay, once you adjust to the culture differences.

Hotel had a rustic charm, good location and was good value for money

Booked a room for a friend who was traveling and she reported that everything was fine.

Hotel bien situé, mais bruyant en raison de travaux que les propriétaires n'ont pas signalés. Première chambre présentée, sale. Deuxième chambre plus correcte, mais pas raisonnable au vu des autres hôtels du secteur. Une seule nuit sur place (sur 3 prévues), sans remboursement des deux autres. Assez mécontent.

Hotel médiocre: chambre vieillissante méritant une remise à neuf, installations communes peu agréables ne mérite pas son prix: on peut trouver mieux à proximité pour moins cher.
