Passing thru Delhi for a Day
Not bad!
I picked this hotel because of the proximity to the airport -- its about 6 miles (though the riksha driver told me that there are many hotels of similar price alot closer to the airport with no advance reservation). The riksha and taxi drivers at the airport did not know where it was but managed to find it after a bit of driving. Later I found out that had I called the hotel (or left my flight itinerary with them) they would have come picked me up free. It has free internet that works well and Plasma TV's. Rooms are very clean -- the area is average but in the middle of the night might seem shady to a westerner. Clean bathrooms with western style toilets - but no bathtub -- only a shower (pretty much standard for India) Overall .. pretty good.

Major misrepresentation
I booked what appeared to be a nice, tidy hotel. The taxi sent by the hotel to pick us up at the airport took us to a hotel with a different name that did not resemble the place shown on the website...shabby lobby, no elevator, no towels, no toilet paper, no bed covers or top sheet. When I inquired, I was told that this is where they put guests when the other hotel is full. In addition, they only accepted cash (to prevent travelers from voiding the purchase?).

The worst in Delhi
Fortunately, this was just an afternoon/evening layover between flights from Kathmandu to Delhi to JFK. I could not sleep in the room because of the noise and status of the bed nor could I enjoy going out becasue of the location. There were no amenities in the hotel. It was a total rip-off for the cost. A Motel 6 in the states is better.
