Park Hyatt Goa Resort and Spa

This resort was everything we wished for. It was the best vacation we've ever had, in fact. First, the setting is ideal - it's only a 20 min drive from the airport. You're a 2 min walk from the beach. And, the pool is gorgeous. Second, my husband and I were shocked at the level of service we received during our stay. The staff really made it a point to go above and beyond to make our stay a memorable one. Every encounter with staff was pleasant - everyone ALWAYS had a smile on their face, and I never saw any staff member being rude or negative. Most of the staff are college kids earning their degree in hotel management - they are doing on the job training with Hyatt. Hyatt only takes the top students from the universities, so the staff are the cream of the crop. It really showed. We never wanted for anything. There were several things we thought needed some improvement: 1. The concierge - we didn't feel that the concierge was very helpful. I don't think Hyatt has a professionally trained concierge on staff...it looked like the hotel management students were doing this job. They hand you a map and circle the touristy sites that people typically see. 2. The nightlife - we felt the nightlife was really lacking at this resort. The happy hour was quite limited, and the entertainment was BAD. They hired a guy to play live music....he sounded like awful 80s karaoke. If you want good nightlife, you'll need to take a 45 min cab ride north, to the Baga beach area.

Très bel hôtel, très bonnes prestations dignes d'un Hyatt, nourriture de qualité et personnel très serviable. Dommage qu'il soit situé dans un endroit assez isolé, loin des endroits animés. Nous y sommes allés pendant la mousson, il a beaucoup plu, ce qui fait que nous n'avons pas pu profiter de la plage et de la piscine comme nous aurions souhaité.
