Good bargain!
We were warmly welcomed.
The owner was, in every way, Great! He had always time for us, explained everything and became de facto our tour guide.
The breakfast food was fresh and in good supply.
Our room was always cleaned.
We'll be back next summer.

Terrible Location, Terrible Staff
The location was atrocious and the staff gave away my bed (even after I booked it on orbitz, so I had to sit around waiting for someone to leave). I overheard them talking with another group they'd done it too, so it wasn't an isolated incident.
Would definitely not recommend this place.

Fantastic Hotel
The owner has a great sense of humor and goes out of his way to help you make reservations for tour excursions, airport shuttles, etc. The breakfast is abundant and the guests are very interesting. If you're in good shape, you can easily walk to
Reykjavik and back and all the sites in between from this hotel.

If you are ready to do a bit of
If you are ready to do a bit of walking, rent a car, or figure out the bus system (which is easy) then this is the place to stay. The breakfast was good. Almost the same thing everyday but it was great to get a free meal in. There was cereal,
yogurt, bread, meats, cheese, hard boiled eggs, fruit, juices and coffee. Our flight arrived at 6 in the morning and by the time we arrived at our hotel it was 7:30, we thought we were just going to see if we could put our bags somewhere until we could check it but they let us check in and it was great. We were exhausted from the time difference and the flight. The guesthouse was a little bit away from the city center but the price made up for it quickly. They were very helpful when we needed to find our way around. I would highly recommend this place to anyone
