TOP CityLine Hotel Reykjavik Centrum

A friend and I just got back from a weekend in Reykjavik. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel. The location is perfect. Steps away (literally steps) from great restaurants, bars, shops, cafes, etc... Excellent staff provided suggestions and assisted in booking tours and transportation to the airport. I will be back to Iceland for another weekend and I would definitely stay at this hotel.

This hotel is interesting, elegant and imaculately clean. It consists of 2 or 3 old buildings linked together with glassed in areas. The rooms are not large but have wonderful light and everything one could need. The location was great, downtown and close to everything, shops restaurants, concert hall and famous hotdog stand. It's right over the Settlement Museum which displays a Viking home from before 870AD, which was discovered when they were building the hotel. Yet the street is quiet. Lovely restaurant (not expensive by Island standards), nice bar and cafe, friendly staff, great tours and activities. We had a terrific 4 days even though the weather was cool, damp and windy .

Fabulous location. It's very easy to walk around and find fabulous food and lovely car free streets to walk. The staff is nice and helpful. The standard double room was what we had expected, a bit smaller than you would expect in the US of course, but make your peace with that and all will be great.

Fantastic staff. One glitch when our room was still undone when we arrived back after a full day of touring. Tap water is better than anything in a bottle. In the center of all the action yet peaceful and quiet.

this was my first time to Iceland and I loved it. Centrum is a great hotel, the breakfast is very good and people at the hotel are very friendly and helpful with information. The hotel is in a great location and everything is within a walking distance. And there is a beautiful lake within 10 minutes of walk, it is such a nice way to spend the afternoon.

We stayed at the Reykjavik Centrum for a week during the holidays. The hotel staff were very polite, knowledgeable and accommodating when booking tours and answering our various questions. The Centrum is in the perfect location, pretty much in the center of Reykjavik which made getting around extremely easy! The rooms were extremely clean and housekeeping did a beautiful job keeping up with our needs. I would book this hotel again in the future and will suggest it to friends traveling to Iceland. I am giving the hotel a 4 star rating in amenities because it did not have a gym or on site parking.

We decided to stop in Iceland for a few days on our way back to Boston from Paris. I chose the Hotel Centrum after looking at [...] on-line reviews. I'm never really sure about a hotel choice using on-line advising, but lucked out this time. The Centrum is exactly that, perfect location, and the building is a very nicely done mix of historic and modern architecture. The room was big enough with lots of closet and storage space and super cozy comforters. The staff was helpful and pleasant. I'd certainly stay there again. The city center of Reykjavik is TINY. You get no sense of how small it really is looking at a map. What look like considerable distances on the map are in fact the easiest of strolls. Also, the Flybus from the airport was incredibly easy and efficient. Another worry off the list.

Very centrally located hotel at a good price. Some minor traffic noise. But overall excellent value for money.

The hotel is in the absolute perfect location - right in the center of town, which is wonderful for first time travelers. Additionally, we were constantly surprised by how quiet it was given the location. The staff is very nice and there is a restaurant in the building for a quick, nice, but expensive breakfast, or there is a grocery store next door to get some breakfast and pastries. The only negative of the hotel was that the rooms are small, but we were out and about for our whole trip, so we hardly noticed. I would recommend it to anyone and will certainly book there again if we return to Iceland.
