This hotel is perfect for the individual traveller on a budget. Its location couldn't be more practical. The hotel is a simple townhouse, typical of this part of Reykjavik, and though architecturally unremarkable, its pale yellow facade stands out amongst its greyer neighbours. This hotel is located in a narrow side street just 5 minutes walk from the centre of Reykjavik.

The rooms vary in size, but most are small. They are simply decorated in cosy warm colours, with furnishings that are good quality, but aging. Both the rooms and the small, basic bathrooms are in very good condition.

Overnight in Iceland
Just an overnight layover on a flight from London, but time enough for a morning walking tour of the city center. This hotel was perfectly situated for our purpose. Transportation from and to airport was very efficient via "flybus," harbor,
important buildings, and wonderful shopping were all right around the corner. Not "glamorous" but clean, comfortable and staffed with helpful and friendly people.

Time-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
For a very short stay, stay in a city center hotel. The places of interest to tourists are in a very compact area. For further flung sights there is a very efficient shuttle system to a bus depot from which excursions depart.

Adequate - good location
Good value for the money given the other options. Nice breakfast. Our room was rather small and next to the elevator. TV coverage was very minimal.

Hotel en centre ville. Pratique,
