Especially during the evening, the view from the dining terrace certainly adds to the pleasure of a meal.

Greatest Boutique Hotel Value in Budapest

2nd time here - Location, location, location with every room overlooking Danube city. Tasteful, comfortable large rooms at unbeatable price. Great breakfasts (eggs made to order) in handsome room. Ultra helpful staff. Walk to most anywhere, or close to subway. So good you don't want to tell anyone.

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

If you arrive by train, beware of gypsy taxis asking three to six times the real fare. Difficulty is that you get legit taxis in Budapest by calling them up (they come immediately and are honest); if you don't have a cell, a legit taxi is alomst impossible to flag down.

The view is the thing.

The view is awesome. Request a room above the first floor to optimize the view. Furnishings are a bit dated. My shower drained slow and leaked a bit.

This is an ideal location for

This is an ideal location for exploring Budapest and the staff is very friendly and helpful. A great breakfast is provided and there is a decent, small bar; however, there is no room service, which seems odd for a 4-star hotel. There are, nonetheless, some excellent restaurants close by.

Wonderful Stay

What a beautiful view. The staff were charming and most helpful. The hotel is centrally located on the Buda side and near the subway to easily get to the Pest side. Several fine restaurants were near the hotel

Great Views

Excellent location on the Buda side of the Danube, very convenient to the citadel area. Good breakfast, cooked to order if you want, by a very nice hostess whose English is proficient. The only drawback we experienced was a shower drain that didn't.

Dining tip: Long walk from hotel

The Pest side of the river seems to have the most varied dining. Look for places along the main streets running towards the bridges.

Great small hotel

This small hotel is in a prime location with EVERY room having a view of the Danube River and the Parliament building. There was a trolley stop right outside the front door. The staff were very friendly and very helpful - always met with a smile and a helpful hint or service. The room was very large, the bed was very comfortable, the view was fantastic. The breakfast was very nice with a great selection of hot (fresh cooked) and cold items. We enjoyed the 2 for 1 Happy Hour and chatting with the Barmaid. My husband said this hotel was one of my best finds.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

The hotel recommended a restaurant called Kosck (it means Duck) - it is traditional Hungarian food. Very good - a bit pricey but worth it. Also had the entire place to ourselves. We suspect they opened the place for us. Even had entertainment of a duo of musicians. Defintie place to go.
