Great stay in Budapest
We stayed for eight days, but spent three in Split, Croatia. The hotel room was clean and nice, room was not large but was excellent for the price. Breakfast, which was included was outstanding. Location was close to the Museum and easy access to Kavan station and public transportation. We found the staff very friendly and very helpful.

Great weekend for my family
We are happy with the location and good staff attitude. The room was OK but not enough stuff as per my expectations for 4 star hotel - shoe polish and suing accessories were not available, the bed was perfect and all the rest as comfort was pleasant but a bit more should be done for 4 star hotel luxe.

Would not reccomend or stay again!
Terrible! Location good, but there is better out there for the same price! Arrived 8 pm, decided to have a quiet night in the first night with a few drinks in the hotel bar. Way over priced! No wine on offer. Had fabulous cocktails on our second day in another rather chic hotel bar for half the price of the half price cocktail specials in the Mercure Museum. There was no snacks or any kind of food available in the hotel bar, we were starving! Rooms are tiny! Walls paper thin, could here next door guests blowing their nose! Bathroom nearly in the room. No bath. Duvets on beds had no covers on them?! Main attraction of this hotel for us was the inhouse jacuzzi... Which was under construction for the duration of our stay! With no notification on check in. We rushed a fabulous dinner to return to the hotel before the 10pm close of the facilities to find an empty jacuzzi !

This hotel was fantastic value for money. Had everything I needed and staff were helpful and spoke good English. Only down side was that the wifi isn't compatible with Apple Macs but the business centre was available.

Good experience
Believe that we had one of the smaller/smallest rooms, with windows into an interior courtyard or foyer, which wasn't that pleasant, but otherwise the hotel is in a great building, clean, with a comfortable lobby, and very helpful staff. While not immediately in the center, a very convenient location and walkable to all major locations.

Friendly, helpful staff
The hotel is well located and is on a very quiet street. The rooms are comfortable and have all the right amenities. I fell victim to a pickpocket soon after arriving and the hotel personnel went out of their way to be supportive and help me cancel credit cards and deal with the police. Because of this support, I was able to put the incident behind me and still enjoy my holiday. I would certainly want to stay at this hotel again.

Shopping tip:
Long walk from hotel
The 20 or more antique shops along the three blocks of Falk Miksa street just next to the parliament building are the best and most affordable in Budapest.

Easy Access to Central Budapest
The Hotel is in a great central location only one street away from access to all types of public transport, shopping districts and very close to the Danube River. The staff were very helpful and the rooms were comfortable and well maintained. It is not 5 star but it is very good value for money.

Ordinary hotel with great staff!
We spent the New year eve and some days in Budapest, and got a good deal on this hotel. It was nice, with small, modern rooms and a great breakfast! Pros: Staff, rooms, breakfast, the little gallery. Cons: Location (a quite long walk from downtown), cleanness (Not really bad, but some stripes from soap in the shower and sink.

best value compared to other hotels
best value compared to other hotels within the area. extra 5min walk from the food street and ped area but given that you would walk the city anyway, dont think 5min extra matters much. save on costs and stay here. well worth the savings.
