Great location, nothing more
The room was rather cheap, but breakfast was not included in the price. Breakfast itself is 14Eur per person and that is way to expensive. I´m saying this because food in Budapest is really cheap, even in restaurants (just avoid Vacy street). Location is great, you´re right on the Blaha lujza ter metro stop (M2). We stayed for four nights and the room was pretty well cleaned. This is a decent three star hotel and nothing more.

Don't expect much
My room was cool. Extremely small & not appealing in decor or comfort. Stingy on amenities & no extras. No smoking rooms just means the ashtray is removed, the smell lingers. Could not get extra towels, even after refusing daily room cleaning. Front desk not very cordial nor helpful, nor grateful for your business. Certainly not what I would rate 4 star, but conveniently located for tourist activities.

Great bargain hotel!
This hotel is in an excellent location. There is a big supermarket on the next block and good restuarants nearby. It is close to the hop on hop off bus and subway station. In walking distance of tourist attractions on the Pest side. The room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. Highly recommend it!

We stayed in the Junior Suite
We stayed in the Junior Suite - very spacious and well-appointed and the bed VERY comfortable, although the sofa bed was quite hard. Staff were extremely helpful, friendly and efficient. There were buses almost outside the door and the metro and trams a short walk from the hotel, so access to all the sites within reach. However, a bit far to walk and felt removed from the City Centre. We bought a 72-hour Budapest card which allowed unlimited access to public transport and some free or reduced access to museums etc. so getting around was easy. We would stay at this hotel again but might consider closer to the City Centre next trip.

Excellent Hotel - Great value
A great hotel - modernised. We were in 4th floor room plenty of room - tv and wifi in the room. All hotel very clean. Great choice for breakfast. Good location - 1 mile from river but 50 metres from the Metro and/or buses.Recommend the 'hop on hop off' buses if there for more than a day - you get to see most things plus a river ride and it was for 2 days - we didnt do it and wore ourselves out walking etc.Great place to eat was the ' Trofea grill Restaurant' on Kiraly uta (street) All you can eat/ drink for about £15 but the choice was amazing - did two different nights and the choice was different. We also booked a taxi [...] - well worth the cost (about £30 return) clean car, met at airport and straight to the hotel- no hassle.Budapest is not the most attractive city we have visited but it is interesting.

You won't find anything better
I am a classical composer who recently completed a new, groundbreaking violin concerto, written especially for world renowned Hungarian violinist Vilmos Olah. I travelled to Budapest to work with him on the piece, refine details and prepare this work for performance and recording [something which will occur in the near future].My hotel was well situated, easy walking distance from a number of critical places important to my work. Mass transit and car service was readily available, the staff at the hotel all spoke English fluently and were exceptionally patient and forthcoming with detailed answers to any logistical questions I asked. There assistance was first rate. My room was quiet, access to the Internet was constant, the food was well prepared and fresh [vegetables and fruit, fruit juices, coffee & tea, and a broad fare from which to choose. On many occasions, because I was simultaneously working on completing the clear orchestra score of my 9th symphony while in Hungary, I requested permission to work in the main lobby area. This was accommodated with certain aplomb and I was constantly plied with fresh coffee and snacks without interruption.[...]I couldn't be happier,
