Mercure Budapest Buda Hotel

Very close to the metro and Castle Hill which was good. Room a bit tired, bed awful, couldn't sleep the first night as I could feel the springs in the mattress, I asked for a mattress topper and that was delivered by the next night after the second request. Air con pretty useless, they came to fix it but it really didn't cool the room down.

My first opinion about the hotel was not very good but it improved significantly while I was staying there. At the beginning I had to change two rooms because one of them had a strong smell of smoke (even if it was a nonsmoking room) and both of them were cold. After I was moved to a “Privilege” room everything was perfect. The room was warm, clean, and quite. There is a comfortable desk in the room for those who want to work. The internet access was free and fast. The personnel was very kind and they did everything possible to make me happy. When I called the reception to tell them that the hair dryer does not work it took five minutes for somebody to come and replace it. The breakfast was rich and the restaurant menu was tasty and beautifully presented. Very good location, easy access to the Caste Hill and to the metro station. I extended my stay for another week.

its a very realaxed hotel i felt like i was there before many times and the room prices are so sheap regarding the service they provide.

Unless one knew that the hotel was 1/2 brom a major Metro stop, this was a difficult hotel to find. The hotel itself was friendly and comfortable. The Internet policy is outdated -- very expensive in room, but free in the lobby. This usually meant long lines waiting for the 2 computers available. We did enjoy our stay, and would consider staying there again.

The location of the hotel is ideal, Castle District is within walking distance, plus it is very easy to get to...everywhere else, since the metro station is less than a block away. When it comes the all the amenities they list, well that is another story, you have to pay for eveything, from internet connections to the use of the fitness center!!! And when you check out they are insistent on charging you for your breakfast, even if you declined when you ckecked in and thus, did not eat their breakfast (which, for Hungary is very expensive, about $25).

Das Hotel hat im allgemeinen einen sehr guten Eindruck hinterlassen. Ich würde das nächste Mal einfach ein Hotel in Pest wählen und nicht in Buda (wir sind täglich von Buda nach Pest gelaufen).

Henkilökunta oli erittäin ystävällistä ja huomaavaista. Erittäin siisti paikka. Ravintolan ruoka hyvää (ei kuitenkaan ekstrahyvää). Metroasemalle muutaman minuutin kävelymatka.

Das Personal ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit und das Hotel sehr empfehlenswert. Das Hotel kann zudem mit den oeffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln bestens erreicht werden. Man ist in wenigen Minuten mitten im Zentrum. Das Preis/Leistungsverhaeltnis ist deswegen perfekt.

Ottima posizione a pochi passi dalla Metro rossa e vicino al castello di Buda. Struttura moderna, camera spaziosa e ben arredata, letto ampio e comodo (ma con il piumino, anche ad agosto!), personale cordiale ed estremamente disponibile, colazione varia, di ottima qualità ed abbondante (anche se con poca frutta fresca). Prezzo estremamente competitivo. Una soluzione veramente interessante.
