Mercure Budapest Buda

My first opinion about the hotel was not very good but it improved significantly while I was staying there. At the beginning I had to change two rooms because one of them had a strong smell of smoke (even if it was a nonsmoking room) and both of them were cold. After I was moved to a “Privilege” room everything was perfect. The room was warm, clean, and quite. There is a comfortable desk in the room for those who want to work. The internet access was free and fast. The personnel was very kind and they did everything possible to make me happy. When I called the reception to tell them that the hair dryer does not work it took five minutes for somebody to come and replace it. The breakfast was rich and the restaurant menu was tasty and beautifully presented. Very good location, easy access to the Caste Hill and to the metro station. I extended my stay for another week.

Very close to Buda Castle, a few min walk.

its a very realaxed hotel i felt like i was there before many times and the room prices are so sheap regarding the service they provide.

Unless one knew that the hotel was 1/2 brom a major Metro stop, this was a difficult hotel to find. The hotel itself was friendly and comfortable. The Internet policy is outdated -- very expensive in room, but free in the lobby. This usually meant long lines waiting for the 2 computers available. We did enjoy our stay, and would consider staying there again.

The location of the hotel is ideal, Castle District is within walking distance, plus it is very easy to get to...everywhere else, since the metro station is less than a block away. When it comes the all the amenities they list, well that is another story, you have to pay for eveything, from internet connections to the use of the fitness center!!! And when you check out they are insistent on charging you for your breakfast, even if you declined when you ckecked in and thus, did not eat their breakfast (which, for Hungary is very expensive, about $25).

Ottima posizione a pochi passi dalla Metro rossa e vicino al castello di Buda. Struttura moderna, camera spaziosa e ben arredata, letto ampio e comodo (ma con il piumino, anche ad agosto!), personale cordiale ed estremamente disponibile, colazione varia, di ottima qualità ed abbondante (anche se con poca frutta fresca). Prezzo estremamente competitivo. Una soluzione veramente interessante.

Das Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen, direkt neben dem Deli palayudvar (Südbahnhof), man ist mit Metro und Tram sehr schnell fast überall in Budapest. Ausserdem bieten die Zimmer sehr schönen Ausblick auf das Burgviertel. Wir haben dieses Hotel einem Hotel im lärmigen Zentrum von Buda vorgezogen und es nicht bereut.

It's cheap price compared with service and hotel facility. But next time, we will choose the hotel on BUDA hill.

Ordentliche Zimmer, sauber, Frühstück OK. Das Hotel liegt direkt an der Endstelle der roten Metro-Linie. Von dort kommt man schnell zu den wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten. Das Personal ist bei Fragen hilfsbereit, sieht aber immer gelangweilt aus. Die 4 Sterne sind alles in allem gerechtfertigt. Bei Abreise wird trotz Vorauszahlung eine Touristensteuer von 3 Euro/Nacht kassiert. Insgesamt aber empfehlenswert.
