Fantastic Stay!
TP Sep 1, 2009
The hotel is in an excellent location. Rooms are beautiful and spacious. Very comfortable king-sized bed! My only complaint ... was that I wish there was free wireless internet in the rooms, as in many other hotels these days.

Visit Andrassy street between the Opera and Oktogon metro stops for tons of great bars and restaurants. Its about a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel.

There are good restaurants close to the hotel (e.g., on the well-known vaci street, or on Andrassy and Kiraly). The restaurants take both Euro and local currency. Paying in Euro is not advisable. Tips are included in the bill. The waiters are tourist oriented and pay attention while paying and check if you get back the exact change. Budapest has good public transport system to move around. Visitors can use one-day, three-day or seven-day tickets that are applicable both on subway systems and buses that are really well connected without delays. Waiting time is very minimal. For those who want to buy local currency, the foreign exchange shops in downtown area are not really more expensive than the offers at banks and they are open during off-hours.

Best downtown location
Yetemegn Jun 30, 2009
I stayed five nights at the hotel. It is the best location for those interetsed in visting the downtown area and be closer to ... the subway system. Also, the city's upscale and designer shops are right across the street. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful.

LeMeredien in Budapest
Cynthia Sep 5, 2008
Very nice hotel; electronic shades were not all operational. Only a couple of english speaking TV stations available. ... Pillows & bed linens were very comfortable. Had to have iron and ironing board brought up to the room, but housekeeping did leave it throughout my stay. Bathroom was very nice, but would be crowded for two people. Location was very good; only a couple of blocks from St Stephen's Basillica. Thermal bath was across the street. Shopping area in very close distance from hotel.

Wonderful Location
marvin Apr 18, 2007
The location of this fine hotel is perfect for a visit to Budapest. Situated on a park in the town center it is only a few ... minute walk from St Stephens, the Opera House and the Operetta. The staff was very helpful in getting very good tickets for us to The Magic Flute and Rudolph when both performances were sold out. The health club is superior and the pool constructed so that you can swim laps. The sidewalk cafes on the Danube and the main shopping street are also just a few minute walk from the hotel. We enjoyed a folklore night at the hotel with an excellent buffet. All in all this hotel is located for those who want a relaxed stay in Budapest. Incidentally both my wife and myself are in the over 80 crowd.
