Overpriced. Not all that friendly servive. Rooms so samall that we had to upgrade 30 Eurosd [...] to get a good room,. Maybe ... a famous name but not like the the other 5 statr hotels in which we have stay. Take a good look ar Le Merridan right next door. Cheaper and in the exact same location. If you are a snob asnd need to drop names. then this is your place. But, and this is a BIG but, if you are expeienced traveler with some money. do not stasy here-I thought the fronk desk almost rude

A very elegant hotel with top class service and accommodations! Every detail made possible by the courteous staff. With its ... central location in Budapest, the Kempinski Hotel makes seeing all the sights of this wonderful city manageable by foot or nearby tram lines. I would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone travelling to Budapest!

To avoid long walks to some of the more distance attractions in Budapest, consult the tram lines...they're very accessible and inexpensive.

The hotel is located a few minutes walk from the Danube. In July there is a festival on the Chain Bridge on the Danube on weekends - music, theater, food and shopping booths.

Great Hotel
AKTravler99 Jul 3, 2009
Wonderful helpful staff. Centrally located, 10 minute walk to the Chain Bridge and the Castle District or a 30 minute walk to ... Hero's Square. The hotel is located just a few hundred feet from all three subway lines making getting around Budapest very easy if your not up to walking every where. The hotel is just on the edge of the main shopping district.
