Where do the stars come from?
If this is a 4 star hotel, then I've stayed at some 5 star Super 8 Motels. The room was plain and the facilities dated. It's located on a busy street with lots of traffic noise. They charge 10 Euros for parking, which wasn't clear from the description (make sure you click "more"). They also charge a fee of 1 Euro per guest per day, which I couldn't find listed anywhere. Basically, just a disappointment...

Has to upgrade room
Hotel was great and staff were super. Problem i had was hotel is in Buda and sights we wanted to see, like old part of Budapest is in Pest. We had to take cabs every where and it was expensive. If hotel was in Pest we could have used trams and subway. Also room i got was two beds and we wanted single. Hence we had to upgrade. Also hotel resturant is closed as is their bar. We had to go down the street to newer hotel to eat and drink. Also got ripped off and paid double for cab from train station to hotel. Hotel is old but has latest plumbing and cute little elevator. Hotel is small but staff is super. Would not stay there again only because train station, subway, and sights we like are in Pest.

Short drive from hotel
Public mineral bath is in Pest and was great. Only problem was we could not get cab back to hotel from there and no one could call cab for us. We had to walk down dark street which scared my girl friend, to find resturant to get a cab back to hotel.

caring, attentive, family-run hotel
Restaurant in basement had good food, attentive service, and complete buffet breakfast (included in price). Staff was very helpful in suggesting things to do and helping us find our way around. It was like going back in time to a different, more caring era. Very service oriented. We loved it!!!

Wonderful friendly, old world spot.
The hotel is just really very quaint and nice. The staff there were so helpful and would do anything to answer any questions you may have about sight seeing. Explained the bus systems and could also sell tickets which was very convenient. Also very friendly. We felt very well taken care of and in good hands. The food there is also some of the BEST we had our entire stay in Budapest! Their veal paprikosh was unbelievable! They also did laundry for us with a 24 hr. turn around that was very inexpensive! I would recommend this to anyone and would definitely stay there again.

Short drive from hotel
Short drive or medium walk to Pest side of the Danube where there is sooo much to see! Plenty on the Buda side also, but alot more on the other. It's also nice that the hotel is away from all the noise and activity of Pest so at the end of the day you can rest.
