great place to stay in Budapest
traveller Dec 22, 2009
Staff was wonderful, rooms very old and worn out, but very clean and bathrooms were modern. Loved having the Gellert baths ... there - probably would never have tried them if they hadn't been in my hotel

Family Reunion in Budapest
Tina American Hungarian Sep 19, 2009
The Hotel Gellert was incredibly beautiful - the architecture amazing and the history astounding. Three of us stayed there ... during a family reunion in Budapest. I believe the Hotel gave in incredible insight into Hungarian life - the location could not have been better - in the heart of the city with street car availability outside the front door. Our room was beautiful - overlooking the Danube and the magnificent city at night. The food at the hotel epitomized Hungarian cuisine and was delectable. I would highly recommend this Hotel to any traveler going to Budapest, Hungary.
