restorative break

I really enjoyed this hotel and the staff were very nice. I signed up for breakfasts at €10 each for the six nights. this worked well. The hotel is a bit away from the centre, but I really liked the walking and the peace in the hotel. Public transport is just outside the hotel, but you have to change at the st. Margaret Bridge and I wasn't sure about the other buses, but I liked the walk. The same ticket worked for all the changes. The westend shopping centre is great with a big eatery of all kinds of foods and cheap, beside the Hilton Hotel. The exchange rate is better in the city than at the airports. It was wonderful to return to the hotel and soak in the thermal pools.

Would go back to this hotel.

I made use of the swimming pool, this was very nice and is well looked after. With a different temperature in different pools to suit everyone! The staff were excellent and were always keen to lend a hand with everything. Some of the restaurant staff weren't up to the same high standard, so I didn't give a perfect mark here. The room was fine although was always warm, the thermostat didn't do much. I guess I could have asked, but it was fine. If you want a view from the hotel your best to ask for one looking onto the Danube, otherwise it's the local supermarket, which is nicely placed just outside.

Soooo much fun!

We loved it!!!! It's right across the street from a grocery store, around the corner from a way-cool bakery, about a half mile from an Aldi with an in-store bakery and interesting wine department. The Hungarian beers we found there were great. The hotel is only about five short blocks from the Metro. They provide bathrobes and towels for use downstairs in the three thermal pools and regular swimming pool. Pools are open until ten p.m., and there is indeed a two story exercise room with cold water and classes to take. Great vacation!!!!!

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

Take the Hop On, Hop Off. Pay for one day, get the second day free. It includes a ferry ride around Margitziget (Margaret's Island). You can walk to the hotel from the island for a little exercise and entertainment. The Island is beautiful, with lots of local color and street life. Have lunch by the Opera House in the foodie zone. For about $6 you can get a soup and light lunch (not including drinks). Splurge on a good beer or wine. Have a ball!
