Clean, friendly, pleasant, great locatio
The hotel is nothing fancy, but very pleasant and situated right in the heart of historic Budapest. The staff was helpful with city maps, arrangements, and even helping me track down some luggage I left at the airport. The WiFi was adequate, the shower was hot, the room was clean. All in all, it was a very satisfying experience for the price range, and I would recommend City Pilvax Hotel to anyone traveling to Budapest.

Long walk from hotel
If you want to experience a unique aspect of Budapest life, try Szimpla, one of Budapest's "ruin bars," built into a ruined building that's never been properly renovated. Decorated with video displays, wild lights, and post-communist bric-a-brac, it's definitely worth a look.

Hotel empfehlenswert
Lage ist optimal; Personal sehr entgegenkommend, freundlich und hilfsbereit; nur das Auffüllen des Frühstücksangebotes lässt sehr zu wünschen übrig; kein Fahrstuhl; ansonsten insbesondere durch die ideale Lage sehr empfehelnswert

Goulash
le quartier du Pilvax
Dans l'ensemble, l'hôtel Pilvax est bon et surtout très bien placé car dans le centre ville tout près de la grande rue commerçante Vaci ; donc beaucoup de magasins et restos à proximité (ainsi que l'accès aux transports (tram, métro). Par contre, nous avons été décu par le petit-déjeuner car le buffet offre très peu de choix et ce qui est proposé n'est pas vraiment de 1ère fraicheur !!!

Short walk from hotel
Restaurant Apostolok à deux pas de l'hotel. Pour ceux qui aiment marcher, la Halle Centrale est tout près (le grand marché couvert fait par Eiffel), ainsi que la synagogue. Pour ceux qui veulent visiter le Mémento Park (situé à l'extérieur de Budapest), ne pas se fier aux commentaires du personnel de l'hôtel car ils nous ont tous dit que c'est loin, alors qu'en fait, en taxi le trajet dure une quinzaine de minutes.

Hotel bien situé
Hotel bien situé, près métro et pont Elisabeth. Staff très agréable et de bon conseil. Point négatif: - demande d'une chambre non fumeur non respectée, - petit déj cher (6€) si non inclus dans votre réservation.
