Clean, friendly, pleasant, great locatio
The hotel is nothing fancy, but very pleasant and situated right in the heart of historic Budapest. The staff was helpful with city maps, arrangements, and even helping me track down some luggage I left at the airport. The WiFi was adequate, the shower was hot, the room was clean. All in all, it was a very satisfying experience for the price range, and I would recommend City Pilvax Hotel to anyone traveling to Budapest.

Long walk from hotel
If you want to experience a unique aspect of Budapest life, try Szimpla, one of Budapest's "ruin bars," built into a ruined building that's never been properly renovated. Decorated with video displays, wild lights, and post-communist bric-a-brac, it's definitely worth a look.

Buda is the pest
Loistava sijainti
Hotelli sijaitsee rauhallisella kadulla kuitenkin lähellä kaikkea. Metrot, Tonava, kaupat ja nähtävyydet kävelyetäisyyden päässä. Aamiainen samassa rakennuksessa olevassa bistrossa oli hyvä, hinta 6 €. Ilmastointia jäimme kaipaamaan.

Kodikas, perhehotellin tuntuinen pikkuhotelli
Harmi ettemme etukäteen varmistaneet lupaamianne tupakoimattomia huoneita ja siksi kaksi ekaa vuorokautta meni hieman pieleen. Joudumme matkan jälkeen pesettämään kaikki mukanamme olleet päällysvaatteetkin. Hotelli kyllä lupasi meille tupakoimattomille "puhtaat" huoneet kahden yön jälkeen, mutta ... Aamiaishommelit sujuivat hyvin, jos olimme ajoissa paikalla. Mutta jos aamiaistuntien puolivälin jälkeen tullessa sai vain "jakojäännöksiä". Inhottavaa kysellä että eikö meille ole enää kahvia (suomalainen tapa juoda kahvia aamiaisjuomana taitaa olla outo heille) tai monakokkelia tms. Pikku harmeja siis oli, mutta ihan kiva hotelli.

Erinomainen sijainti ja mukava hotelli
Hotellin sijainti oli erinomainen. Se oli kävelykadun varrella ja siitä oli vain puolentoista korttelin matka Vaci Utca -kävelykadulle ja muutaman korttelin matka Tonavan rannalle. Palvelu oli ystävällistä. Huone oli siisti ja sopivan kokoinen. WC:n suihkukoppi oli pieni, mutta kyllä siellä mahtui peseytymään. Aamiainen oli hyvä. Hotellissa ei ollut hissiä, mutta meitä se ei haitannut.
