Striking luxury hotel with fantastic pool and baths
The Carlton Hotel Budapest provides visitors with a refined vacation experience. Ok, but watch your back
When I checked in, the server insisted in inspecting my travel documents - I had to physically tell him not to touch my things. The staff was not friendly whenever I came in or left and it seemed as if guests were, in general, a very inconvenient bother. I also met two ladies from Austria who said that their car was stolen and the front desk staff were involved in the theft and would not call the police when they asked them to - I believe it.

Short walk from hotel
Go to the Labrynth on Castle Hill. It was the best attraction in the entire visit. Not for claustriphobic.

Carlton Hotel Budapest has a friendly
Carlton Hotel Budapest has a friendly and nice staff, a fine breakfast buffet and only 100 meters to the nearest buses. One goes to the City Center, the Opera and the Hero´s Square, and the other bus goes to the Castel Hill. I would stay here again, it is well situated.

Absolute tops for location . What
Absolute tops for location . What more can you ask if you are located at the foot of the Fisherman's Bastion and 5 mins walk from the Buda end of the Chain Bridge? Bus 105 takes you right to the centre of the city and on to the Heroes' Square and the Terror House. You are never far from any attractions and the sights nearby on the Buda Castle top were really amazing. We stayed here for 4 nights from 16th to 20th April 2009 and really loved Budapest. Strongly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is on the Castle (Pest)
The hotel is on the Castle (Pest) side of the river which is a bit steep, not flat like the Buda side, but was still easily accessed. The room was of average size and quite comfortable and there was a good selection for breakfast. Reception staff spoke English and were happy to give advice for sightseeing, restaurants, etc. We were happy with our choice of accommodation.

A four star hotel very well located,
A four star hotel very well located, very clean, and with very friendly people. Excellent breakfast. Internet and water provided free. I will use this hotel again if i have to travel to Budapest again.

Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Ottima posizione per visitare a piedi la città (sia Buda che Pest). Il comfort delle stanze è buono ma non da 4 stelle (bagno piccolo, asciugamani piccoli). Discreta colazione intercontinentale. Staff molto cordiale e disponibile. Molto apprezzato il wi-fi gratuito nelle camere. Consiglio vivamente di cenare nel ristorante appena fuori l'hotel; ottima cucina e fornitissima carta di birre belga, ottime!
