Wonderful stay at Budapest
The hotel is very clean and comfortable, and the staff members are exceptionally helpful. It was a wonderful place to stay at Budapest! The best is its location--if you don't mind walking, it takes 20-30 minutes to the Parliament or Buda Castle, to Fisherman's Bastion, and 5 minutes to the Great Market. If you don't want to walk, you can take Metro--one stop is only 1 minute away and another 3 minutes. Very convenient. The hotel makes my visit to Budapest very enjoyable! My only minor complaint is that the room is a little noisy (traffic) and there was also a short period of time no staff members were at the counter and no hot water available.

We liked it
Only problem was when we arrived there was no one there in reception to meet us so we stood out in the cold unable to get past the locked wooden door untill someone arrived, and even then did not explane very well about the breakfast vouchers.but apart from that we enjoyed our stay.

Real value for money
Budapest Museum Central is great value for money. A small family owned hotel, where the staff is extremely helpful and rooms are really clean & nice looking. It was a new experience for us to get a breakfast coupong and have breakfast at a cafe nearby, but it turned out as a positive surprise as well. The only thing that we missed was a refrigerator in the room. We definately recommend this hotel and will use it ourselves when we go to Budapest for the next time.

Warm and cozy
You couldn't tell if this is hotel or not if you look at it from street. After you get in, climb to second floor and enter the hotel you are welcomed with very friendly service! Location is perfect for tourists, service is superfriendly and helpful and we were always greeted with a big smile. Breakfast was ok and served to your room. Rooms were ok too, not 5 star like but you get what you paid for. One thing to notice is that because there are normal apartments in the same building with the hotel, there are quite strict policies for silence at nights. So this is not you average "party hotel", but perfect for those visitors who enjoy silence at nights. I will warmly recommend you to try this hotel. Helpful hint: Hotel outer door doesn't look very hotel-like. If you weren't sure you wouldn't know that you are standing at hotel door. You have to type door code (printed near door) to call to hotel (do not press key, only door code and then wait) and ask them to open the door. If you are not succesful, call to hotel using number printed also near door and they will help.

Great hotel and cool central location.
Central location within walking distance to everything but statue park! Great Turkish restaurant right next door and plenty of shops near by. Maybe a 20 min walk to the Chain Bridge and about the same to St. Steve's. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful...and all nice looking women to boot! Breakfast rocked and was made to order...all cold stuff but good and included in price.

Shopping tip:
Short walk from hotel
Things were pricey for little nick-nack stuff. Found better prices outside of Budapest...wines and liquor were cheaper in the grocery stores than the wine & liquor stores. The area near the river on the way to the Chain Bridge had lots of shopping options....stuff on Castle Hill had the lowest priced souvenir type things.

Some of the rooms are located minutes away form the front desk, in separate buildings all of them at least a 100 years old, high ceilings big windows. Nicely decorated, perfectly clean and a fully operational kitchen. A wine quark screw, microwave oven, everything!!! and the best thing a jacuzzi bath tub!! a perfect getaway for a weekend, or a place to stay if sightseeing in the fourth most popular destination in Europe!!! Loved it

Great little hotel
The good: - Rooms are decent sized, decently clean, and well equipped. - Wifi internet works and, if it didn't, there is a plug in the wall. - My room had a balcony view of the museum. - Breakfast is pretty good with both sweet and savory options. The staff brings it to your room in the morning. - The staff is very friendly, composed entirely of 20-something Hungarian girls. Need I say more? - The location is great. It's across the street from the museum, maybe a few hundred feet from the metro, and two or three blocks away from the end of Vaci Utca. - I got a pretty good deal on it. The bad: - There are cheaper hotels in Budapest, but I doubt they're half as nice for the price. - The room was a little warm at times. I think they have AC but I wasn't bothered enough to ask. The ugly: - The place is a little hard to find from the street, especially after dark. The hotel itself occupies the 2nd floor of an otherwise nondescript residential building. Bottom line: If I ever return to Budapest, I would happily stay here again, especially if I could get a good deal on it.

In Hotel
The hotel is a little hard to find, especially after dark. To find it, walk across the street from the museum. You should see a Turkish fast food place. The door to the hotel is right next to that. You should see a small golden plaque identifying it. The staff will buzz you in. There is an elevator in the inner courtyard which you can take to the 2nd floor.
