- The accommodations consist of comfortable and elegant standard double rooms which are large enough to accommodate an extra bed for families if necessary. Every room is equipped with satellite television, free high speed Internet access, telephone, air conditioning and of course a bathroom with shower. Continental breakfast is available for 3 Euros per person every day. Many of the rooms look out onto the Karoly Boulevard - one of Hungary's most historic streets. The rooms all have high ceilings with ceiling moldings and chandeliers and are painted in light colors giving our visitors a nice sense of space and light. Each room is also fully sound proofed, allowing for a relaxing time away from the noise and bustle of the city.

- The accommodations are located directly in the heart of the historical city center, within walking distance of the city's administrative, business and cultural districts as well as the famous shopping area of Vaci Street. We also are right next door to the majority of Budapest's main cultural attractions; the Hungarian National Museum, the Dohany Synagogue (Europe's largest) and St. Stephen's Basilica - Budapest's most famous Cathedral. Andrassy Avenue Budapest's most elegant street is also only a 5 minute walk from our location. Of special interest and a must see attraction, Budapest's most famous and grand spa center the Szechenyi Baths are only a 10 minute metro ride away. Ask at reception about how to get there. We are situated only a 1 minute walk from the Astoria metro station on the M2 Redline. It is also only a 5 minute walk from both the Deak ter and Kalvin ter stations, both on the M3 Blueline.

Friendly Staff but Hard to Find
The hotel is located down a dark corridor on an upper floor of an old office building that appears somewhat ominous at first glance. The 10-room "hotel" within a larger building is actually quite charming and the English-speaking staff is extremely helpful and friendly. My room was large and nicely but simply furnished. It felt more like a guest bedroom in a quaint 19th century apartment than a hotel room. A complimentary Continental breakfast is delivered to your room. You also receive a complimentary bottle of Hungarian wine upon check-in. The location is excellent, next to the Doheny Synagogue and the Astoria subway stop and within walking distance of all major tourist destinations. Finding the hotel was tricky and using the access code to open the front gate late at night was a bit unnerving. I wouldn't recommend it for my senior parents but would for a younger and/or more adventurous crowd.

Look for the gold Karoly Central Hotel plaques near the elevator and try to check-in during daylight hours before the front gate is locked at 6PM. Otherwise, you'll need to call up to the front desk and enter an access code to gain entry.

Central et bon acceuil
En priorité munissez vous des codes et explications pour trouver car rien n'est indiqué dans le rue , aucune visibilité de l’hôtel depuis la rue. Préférez une chambre coté patio car rue un peu bruyante. Accueil très sympathique pour un hôtel dans un cadre un peu atypique. Nous le recommandons

A voir : le marché , opera , Eglise st Etienne. Les bains Szechenyi : les meilleurs ... et le restaurant qui le jouxte. et pour finir le champagne Hongrois extra dry; Humm!

Ilmastointi on hyvä kesähelteellä
Hotelliin oli ensi kerran vaikea löytää, pieni hotelli, joka sijaitsee ison rakennuksen sisällä. Ystävällinen hyvin englantia puhuva henkilökunta. Ilmastointi hyvä. Rauhallinen viihtyisä huone. Jääkaappia ei ollut, mutta voi pitää esim. juomia käytävän yhteisessä jääkaapissa. Aamiainen oli kahvi ja joku patonkin naapurikahvilassa, varsin vaatimaton ja söimmekin sen vain yhden kerran. Huone siisti, siivottiin joka päivä. Hotelli sijaitsee varsin hyvällä paikalla Pestin puolella, josta hyvät kulkuyhteydet, mm. metro.

PETIT HOTEL MAIS A MON GOUT
SEJOUR DU 04 AU 11 AVRIL 2011 Il est vrai que la 1ère approche peut être surprenante, car avant tout il faut trouver l'entrée de l'hôtel ! On y accède par Karoly korut 1/3A en passant sous un "porche" et en sonnant à la grille (code 102) (dans la journée cette grille est ouverte car on peut traverser pour accéder à la rue Dohany). Monter quelques marches sur votre gauche et prendre l'ascenseur pour monter au 1er étage, et là l'hotesse vous accueille pour vous emmener jusqu'à l'entrée de l'hôtel. On y accède en fait par la cour intérieure. C'est original et pour ma part j'ai aimé justement cette originalité. De plus le petit déjeuner se prend dans un petit café à 50 m de l'hôtel. C'est un hôtel simple mais accueillant et les chambres sont propres. les hôtesses sont jeunes et charmantes,toujours prêtes à vous rendre service L'hôtel est très bien situé. Nous y avons voyagé principalement à pied, mais il y a aussi 2 lignes de métro tout prêt de l'hotel.. il y a tellement de belles choses à visiter à Budapest !
