The Boathotel Fortuna Budapest is actually a floating hotel that is anchored in the Danube River on the Pest side of Budapest. It is moored across the way from Margaret Island, which provides many excellent views, while offering easy access to many of the attractions and sights of the capital city of Hungary. For either a business traveler or a family vacationing with children, the Boathotel Fortuna Budapest provides comfortable accommodations and offers connecting rooms when required.

- Our hotel has got 5 differently sized and equipped conference rooms with different ambiance and atmosphere. All rooms are equipped with modern technical facilities (TV, video, OHP, screens, flip-chart stands, CD players, fax, photocopiers, rostrum, darkening, PA system, Internet connection, projector), suitable for small meetings, conferences, workshops, weddings and banquettes. Szirn rooms: We recommend this room for big events, conferences, trainings, presentations, press conferences, receptions and banquettes. The room has natural light, and its furniture can be moved or changed easily. Maximum Capacity: 150 people.

Boathotel Fortuna
The hotel staff were very nice and helpful. The restaurant inside had very good food. It is in a good location as you can walk to just about anywhere in the city in 25 minutes. The only drawbacks were; only 1 computer to access the internet (no Wi-Fi), difficulty getting bags up the stairs, and lack of extra power outlets.

Short walk from hotel
There are tons of restaurants on every street with great food. So don't go to Mcdonald's as you will pay the same price for a value meal as you would pay for a gourmet meal at a nice restaurant. If you get anything to drink make sure you ask for ice!

Budapest week
Was what was advertised. No surprises except I expected an internet connection. There was but with only one computer available and no WIFI. Not enough electrical outlets in room to charge equipment. Nicely refurbished but lacked some things. No vent in bathroom and ventilation system was hit-and-miss. Luckily the weather was cooperative.

Long walk from hotel
3-4 block walk to buses, metro and street cars. Dirctions and names in Hungarian without English translation was difficult Language is very confusing. and challenging. Beware of paprika, comes in different levels of spicy
