This is a good simple 2* hotel close to many of the attractions on the Buda side of the city. It backs on to its 3* sister hotel the Bara and is seperated from this building by a conference centre. (AHJ10.08) A modern slightly dated building 4 storeys tall. Located on the Buda side of the river Danube the Bara hotel is just a 15 minute walk from Gellert hill and its iconic statue of liberty and a similar walk to the stunning Buda castle. There is a bus stop just next to the hotel which travels stright into the city centre. The international airport is 19 kms away.

Mit Sternen getäuscht.

Das Problem an diesem Hotel ist, dass man in der Suchmaske ein 3* Hotel eingibt (welches es auch gibt) aber ein Zimmer mit zwei Sternen in dem abgebildeten Anbau (nennt sich Bara Junior) bekommt. Die Zimmer dort hätten bei uns nicht mal einen Stern. Sie sind sehr lieblos eingerichtet (fast gar nicht) und es gibt nur sehr kleine Schränke. Ich war schon in Jugendherbergen die schöner waren. Die Zimmer waren extrem überhitzt, und da die Heizungsleitungen durch den Raum gingen auch fast nicht abzukühlen. Für 10 Euro pro Zimmer und Nacht haben wir uns dann in das Hotel upgraden lassen. Die Zimmer dort waren OK und 3 Sternen angemessen. Das Continental-Frühstück bestand aus heißen Getränken und einem Teller mit Käse, Wurst und Marmelade.

Um die Ecke ist gleich ein schönes Lokal (an der Haltestelle BAH der Tram), wo man für gutes Geld lecker essen kann.
