Atrium Fashion Hotel Budapest

The continental breakfast is amazing and the rooms are lovely. Our only complaints would be the lack of extractor fan in the bathroom and being unable to work the TV due to their personalised operating system. We would definitely visit again and recommend to anyone else!

Having read some of the reviews about the dubious 4* rating assigned to this hotel, I can only say that it ticked all the right boxes for a very reasonably priced city break in a beautiful city. The hotel is a very cleverly piece of architectural design. Beautiful old facade and a quirky modern interior very ingeniously modelled to bring as much natural light as possible to a mid terrace historical building. The rooms were clean and equipped with all the necessary, hairdryer, coffee making facilities etc. Our room was one of the bigger rooms at the frony with 2 windows off street. Some reviews state that there is little natural light in other rooms which face onto the atrium. We were fortunate in this respect but even so the design of the interior of the building makes up for it. Breakfast was simple, continental or eggs. While it received poor reviews on other websites, and broccoli wouldn't be my choice for breakfast, one wouldn't starve. It it's a large fry up you are after then you would be disappointed. Then again I would be disappointed if it was on offer, having just flown all the way to Budapest to sample its diversity of culture!. Staff were very helpful and all spoke good english which is always embarrasing as I dont speak any hungarian. All in all , great.city, great people. Would recommend highly to everyone.

Beautiful little 'boutique style' place. Nice value, three stars (hotel claims four in their lobby ad). However we were not made aware that this is regarded as a high crime area. No notices were posted and NO SECURITY people were evident. As we checked out from the hotel everything of value that we owned was stolen. The hotel video showed that our car was 'stalked' by obviously professional thieves for over six minutes. Any security presence would have detected this activity. No one gave us any help to load our car although we had six cases and are elderly. The desk man says he did tell my husband to close the hatchback as he was loading the big cases. He did this. However, after loading our carry-ons containing over US$12,000 in valuables the thieves (in less than two minutes) opened the side door (closed but not locked as we were in the process of leaving). Seems odd to us in retrospect that two pros were staked out in front of this non luxury hotel -- we wonder if they were informed by a hotel employee. Much money was spent to make this old building in a nondescript but central area lovely IT IS TOO BAD THAT NO MONEY WAS SPENT FOR SECURITY.

A beautifully decorated and designed hotel located in a convenient location in Budapest. Easily accessible to transportation and metro station. Close and within walking distance to most attractions. Unfortunately we were caught in the heatwave with temperature all daylight time of around 30-38 degree celsius. Fortunately taxi is cheap when taxi drivers do not cheap, even then comparatively cheaper than most European cities. Breakfast is monotonous but good. No other meal are served in the hotel but eateries are easily available outside the hotel. Hotel staff very helpful and wifi works well and is included in the rate. Overall a good choice.

This is a very modern hotel. The decor of the common spaces is beautiful and the pendulum clock is intriguing. The room as well furnished with adequate space, good wi-fi access, comfortable pillows and linens, air conditioned, and quiet with a modern bathroom. The hotel is a few miles from the river, however, there is good public transportation within a block of the hotel. Breakfast buffet was very nice with good variety of hot and cold items. The staff also recommended the Firkase restaurant...excellent Hungarian food (try the veal paprikash and the "floating Hungarian islands for dessert), friendly staff, and wonderful piano music. Only suggestion: if you have any mobility problems, ask for a handicapped bathroom. The tub was a bit high and difficult to get into for a shower.

Excellent hotel, good breakfast, excellent choice of food, location superb, a short walk to trams #4 and 6 and to the metro. Reception staff very knowledgeable and helpful. room very well equipped, tea/coffee making facilities, safe for valuables, great shower. Complimentary tea/coffee in lounge all day. The only draw-back was that the room window could not be opened and faced onto the atrium making it very hot and not too bright. Look for one of the external rooms if possible! Not too many of them. Will definitley go back! Spa entry included in package also. Nice touch for the cold winter days.

Good breakfasts, coffee and juice available all day. Front desk personnel offered good tips for restaurants.and local pubs. This side street is not appealing, but just one block to metro and coffee shops. No courtyard or bench for smokers. Good value.in a crisply new space.

The rooms were excellent, it is close to downtown, subway, tram & bus and has excellent local restaurants. The breakfast was also excellent, good variety and fresh.

A very beautiful hotel located at heart of the city. Very close to the metro and in walking distance from the shopping area. We had the opportunity to move around in convenience for sightseeing and shopping. Very clean and quite hotel, with a rich buffet for breakfast, free wireless internet in the room, and very polite and helpfull personel, either at the reception desk or the cleaning staff. Having travelled to dozens of countries and stayed at numerous hotel accordingly, we would rate Atrium at the top ten of all.
