Royal View Hotel Hong Kong

This hotel was a good value to stay in while I was on a business trip to Tsuen Wan.

the room is equipped with microwave, coffee machine and a fridge which allows you to make some basic refreshment. The radio and DVD player is unexpectedly but great for those who want to spend the weekend out of downtown in HK.

Having visited Hong Kong several times, I chose to stay at this hotel as a change from the usual city centre venues. The best feature of the hotel is the location beside stunning bridges with sea views, but you have to get the right rooms for the view and some rooms are located almost under the bridge givign a somewhat claustrophobic feeling. The suites and best rooms have great views. The venue is somewhat isolated but the free bus shuttle service is efficient and public transport in HK is of course excellent. Most residents are family holiday makers. The pool and spa facilities are good. In summary, slightly inconvenient location but good views from some rooms, good facilities and helpful staff.

I like the place here as everything is good with the nice sea view and good quality of Gym Room...it is a good place to take weekend break here!!!

This hotel is excellent value for money, especially during the peak Christmas season. It was very nice and clean, and had free cable internet. We also had christmas eve buffet lunch at the restaurant (extra cost), certainly one of the best buffet I've ever had and it was also excellent value for moeny. Downside is the location, it is not near any shops, but the free shuttle bus that takes you to 6-7 different shopping centres and runs every 20 minutes makes up for the distant location. Also, the entire interior of the building has thi nice scent of vanilla or something similar, very nice! Overall I would choose this hotel again if I visit this island,and I recommeded you to check it out aswell.

Nice and comfortable room. Friendly staff at front desk and very helpful, but not in the dining room for breakfast where not a single employee came to talk to us and they all looked miserable. The location of the hotel is a bit off, far from everything, however the hotel offers complimentary shuttle service to various areas in Hong Kong. Overall, good in transit hotel, but not practical for long stays.

Rooms are very nice and clean, though troublesome inroom interenet. Pool was nice but room service and hotel resturants aren;t that good (expensive and not nice tasting) A long way from anywhere unless oyur going to the airport but there are regular bus's to tsuen wan and tsuen wan west MTR's which are 30 mins from central hk. Have stayed there several times on business travels but always bring a shopping bag of food ... nothing to buy or do around the hotel!!

The items I liked were the view, quiet from external noise, staff was positive. I did not like location relative to Airport. Midpoint of boarder and Airport. Expect 200 HK to transport one way. I can see it as very nice other than that. There were noisy doors, but this is not a hotel controlled item. Overall I was very happy with the price, cleanliness, and facilities. Cabs were very easy to obtain.

This hotel is located underneath a busy bridge and is very isolated. To compound this the facilities within the hotel are decidedly limited. There are two 'restaurants'. One of which SEEMS to be a bar area (where you supposedly can relax with a drink and enjoy a light meal). However both are actually, visually, like a cheap cafe. There is no atmosphere and the tables are like a motorway services area. The staff, whilst very willing, speak very little English (those that speak any that is) so ordering is a bit hit or miss.

The free bus shuttle service is sometimes full on the return to hotel journey. As the bus service make 2 stops in Tsuen Wan, this free service might be abused. Bus coupons should be issued to ensure hotel guest has priority to this free service. Else you may find yourself queueing up for 15mins and find the bus is full and need to wait for next shuttle service again.
