Execellent trip

Would recommend Fri, Nov 13, 2015
This is the first time I write a review. The seven days stay in the Royal Park Hotel Hong Kong was part of our travel package. My wife and I were totally satisfied with our stay in this hotel. Location was excellent, close to everything - train, buses, restaurants, and shops. The room was in good size, quiet, and plenty of closet storage for our clothes. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Great place, just kind of far

Would recommend Sat, Mar 3, 2012
I'd recommend this hotel. Overall a very nice place, especially for the price. The major downside is that it's a 20-30 minute commute to Victoria Harbor, which is where most of the attractions are. Fortunately, the commute is a pleasant enough MTR ride, and the MTR is connected to the hotel by a 5-10 minute walk through a modern mall.

Time saver

The hotel's airport shuttle is good, I'd recommend it. They take a journey which rarely has traffic so you don't have to worry about that. Otherwise, the MTR from the airport is a not very direct route which requires multiple stops and things to figure out.

Comfortable Modern suburban hotel

Would recommend Mon, Jan 17, 2011
This is a comfortable, moderately luxurious, very clean and well managed hotel. It may be mildly inconveniently situated for some tourists and businessman in the new satellite town of Shatin, a bit remote from central kowloon, but if one makes the minmal effort to master the very good subway system (there is indoor access from the hotel to the station, and directions are clear for non Chinese), it easy to get into central Kowloon and a bit of a relief to get away to the new town which has more space and a quieter pace. There is a pleasant traditional Chinese garden next to a ri er right across the street. The choice of restaurants in the hotel is good to very good, western, Japanese and Chinese, and so one can be a comfortable lazy traveler if one wants. Free wifi was not yet quite reliable in the rooms (which have good desks for work), so one has to buy cable ethernet time.

Dining

In house restaurants are quite respectable.

Comfortable and convenient

Would recommend Mon, Aug 9, 2010
I stayed 3 nights for a solo vacation to Hong Kong. My room was very comfortable, with a big bed, and an extra lounge chair and desk. Nice view of the park. It was a pretty convenient base for touring HK- you walk right through an adjacent mall to get to the subway and can get to most sights through that. The staff was very polite and answered a couple of emails I sent promptly. Room service (for lunch and dinner) was reasonably priced. I don't recommend the restaurants- they are pricy and a little weird- they all have a lot of entrances and you never know who should be waiting on you.

Time saver

The hotel has a free shuttle that takes you to Tsim Tsa Shui (sp)? If you're going to Lantau, you can take a ferry directly from there and avoid tiring MTR connections. Cheaper and more fun!

My review of Royal Park Hotel

Would recommend Mon, Nov 3, 2008
This hotel is conveniently located next to the (subway) Shatin station and the New World Shopping Center where you can find lots of shops and restaurants. An airport-bound bus stop is just half block away. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious (by HK standard).

Shopping hint

There is a indoor connection between the hotel and the New world Shopping Center which is also connected to the subway.
