Good Sized Room

We got a free upgrade to an executive from a superior room which was very spacious. The hotel is well located and has lots of restaurants and things to do. However, there was a smell in our room when we arrived and it could have been cleaner. Also, the fact that free in room wifi was not included (extra charge of 180 hkd/day) goes against most hotels these days.

Excellent value

My colleague stayed here under my booking, and reported to me that she was delighted with all aspects of her accommodation, including room, breakfast, staff response, pool and spa. The only minor drawback is that the hotel is located away from the main part of Shatin, which means that shopping and public transportation have to be reached by taxi or similar. But this is a small issue in the context of an outstanding stay. Definitely fantastic value.

Great stay in your hotel

I want to commend the staff of the Regal Riverside for their helpfulness and friendliness. They helped us wiht directions, where the nearest ATM machines were, nearby restuarants and getting taxis. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The location was great for where we needed to go during our time in Hong Kong.

Family Holiday

A very busy hotel, lots of groups, hence staff seems so stress when you asked for help or advice. Not what I expected from what I have seen and heard before. Really disappointed.

a family of 4 to be allocated to 2 rooms at different floors until repeated protests

when we arrived at this hotel around 5 pm, we thought we would be allocated two separate rooms next to each other, or opposite to each other. However, we were told we could have two rooms in two different floors. I told them we were a family of four, and had booked these rooms at the same time, and insisted very strongly that we should have two room close to each other, after about 15 minutes search - and talking from their team leader and then manager - finally, we had two rooms next to each other. Apart from this incident, everything was great!! Will return to this hotel.

Not good at all

First one of the staff was VERY rude to my wife. However the lady how did check us in was good(chalk and cheese)2 if you are planning to take your lap top, your mobile, camera, hair dryer etc.you better take a extension cable as there is only one spare socket and that is strangely enough in the wardrobe half way up the wall.3 The room OK but you can see all loose cables under the table/dressing table, the curtains look as they have been through the ringer. Also if you are planning a cup of coffee when you arrive.you will not have much left for your Bedtime drink, and a cup when you wake.So as the Kettle is boiling, phone on House keeping on number 6 and ask for more stuff but make sure to tell them to give you enough till the morning. If you are stopping for more than one night you have to go through the same thing every day. OK when your Kettle is boiled don't forget to plug in the Fridge again. Oh if you like a couple of Biscuits with your Coffee you better take your own..4 Oh if you are wanting the courtesy mini bus to the MTR/Mall.they have stopped it so you either have to take a taxi or a local bus.Its a about a 15/20 min walk.if you are going into the city it will take about 40 mins and that is from the train station. To go from Airport to Hotel you should allow at least 1 and half hours with 3 or 4 changes. They do a mini bus from Airport to Hotel but that costs 130 dollars each way =260.You can get 3 days travel on MTR with airport to and back for 300 dollars so I rather do that,I think that a complete rip off..Last of all the photo on the site is not anything like what you are faced with when you get there. You will be sadly disappointed. ...
