Super-convenient airport hotel with direct access to terminals

Regal Airport Hotel is Hong Kong's only airport hotel that is directly connected to the airport via an enclosed bridge. Despite close proximity to the passenger terminals, the rooms are surprisingly quiet. Friendly and helpful staff and convenient location make it easy for travelers to rest easy knowing their early morning flights are a short walk away. Other highlights include indoor and outdoor pools and easy access to airport terminal shopping and dining.

Regal hotel stop over

The hotel is very handy for the airport but it wasn't very nice. A bit shabby. The internet was way over priced at HKD130 for 24 hours for only two devices. Better to buy a data sim in the airport HKD 100 for seven days.

Front Desk Staff Attitude Problem

We stayed one night before catching a flight back to U.S., this is the second time we stayed at this hotel. Tried to check in at 1300 but front desk staff told us to come back at 1430 because the room was not ready. Don't understand how a five star hotel don't have rooms available on time. The check in time was supposed to be 1400, not 1430. The front desk staff was not too friendly and was not apologetic of this inconvenience. Definitely didn't expect that at a five star hotel. We were given a room with faulty air conditioner problem. The staff members did not believe me and asked a housekeeping staff to come check on the problem. After the problem was confirmed, they sent a technician to try to fix the problem. They ended up moving us to another room because they couldn't fix the air conditioner. The location is great, but the services could have been much better. It wouldn't hurt to smile a bit either. I have had better experiences at Holiday Inn at 1/3 the price. I would recommend this hotel for it's location, not so much for the price or service.

Disneyland break

The hotel staff were extremely unhelpful and cold-shouldered me at every request, I found out later that this wasn't just in the hotel, but everywhere I travelled, It seems to be a Hong-Kong v Britain historic thing. A toilet cleaner was the most helpful person I talked to. 'Free Internet in the hotel lobby' is advertised, but you have to stand up or sit on the floor as there are no 'free' chairs. The hotel is just a few hundred meters from the airport hub, where there is cheaper food and free wifi.

Time-saving tip: Not Applicable

It's not far from the bus station, but you have to have the exact money (or more, no change given) or you won't get on the bus. (unhelpful drivers) Buy Disney tickets at Disneyland, not online or in the Disney shops at the airport. The incompetent staff printed out tickets with last month's date and it took an hour to sort it out at Disneyland, lucky I kept the receipt. I saw people struggling at the 'online' ticket conversion machines, and it was not pretty.

Convenient Location

We arrived in the early hours of the morning so the close proximity of the hotel to the airport was a definite plus. We were able to walk there in a few minutes. We had booked a twin bedded room but none were available. The staff quickly set up a rollaway bed for us. The room was a bit crowded with this extra bed but the bathroom was spacious and well stocked with necessities. The soundproofing was good, so we were not disturbed by planes on the nearby runways. In the morning, we made use of the well equipped workout room. More expensive than our budget allowed but worth it for our final leg of a long journey.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

If you are flying out of Hong Kong airport, wait until you get to the departure area before eating. Much more variety to choose from.

Great location, not friendly staff

Great location with easy link to airport. What I booked was 2 rooms with free breakfasts included. During check-in the hotel staff confirmed this detail. However, when we went to resturant for breakfast next morning, my friend were told that breakfsts were not included. We'were busy to catch flight and didn't argue, but it's really very unpleasant.

Overnight stay

Hotel is very conveniently located to the airport. Will stay here again because of the location. Easy walk from arrival hall to hotel. Check in was good. Concierge was not helpful. Room was nice but beds were hard. The best part of my experience at Regal was my massage at OM Spa. Joyce, the massage therapist was awesome! Make time to go to the OM Spa.
