Fantastic Shopping around HK Kawloon AREA.

The room service staff (Auntie) very helpful and polite but the staff(man) at Restaurant are very rude and cannot understand common English conversation.

Overall good hotel

Nathan Hotel is closely located to Mong Kok. It's about 5 minutes walk from the metro station. The location is very convenient. It has lots of jewelry stores nearby. The hotel is well staffed and managed, everyone is curtious and helpful. The room is small but clean. The double bed has good pillows and bedding. The 42 in. TV is also an added benefit. The bathroom is clean and well equipped. The best part about staying at Nathan hotel is its buffet breakfast, many of the comparable hotels HK doesn't provide such amenity.

good value

We were in town to shop mainly. The hotel is very conveniently located. The hotel staff was very helpful and even gave us free breakfast vouchers! We stayed in 2 different rooms while on this trip. Both rooms had air conditioners that didn't cool consistently so we woke up warm in the middle of the night. But all in all a great value. I would definitely stay there again.

There is an area called Knutson Terrace (or something similar to that) just a short walk down Nathan. The area had several fun restaurants for casual dining.

Great Deal

I was at Hong Kong to check various educational facilities, so I had to travel each day to a different location. Nathan Hotel is very conveniently located, and yet away from the noise of Tsim sha tsui. The breakfast buffet is great and keep you going for the whole day.

okay, decent location

Nice size for hk, staff found two rooms next to each other and upgraded us to a larger room for free. Thank you! Generally good experience, only minus is the bathroom is old, small, and is in need of renovation. the bed and room itself is clean enough. Location of hotel is central and is however mid way between two mrt stations that will take 7 to 10 mins walk. If price is low, this is okay otherwise prefer a newer hotel.

best in convenience, location, service

Our trip was a combination of business and shopping. It was walking distance to temple night market as well jade market. Business meetings was in nearby Tshimshatsui pretty much a short leisurely walk to the Canton road meeting place. Another meeting was short 15 min taxi to the Kwun Tong area. Computer and electronics shopping in Shamshuipo was only a few MTR stops from the Jordan station. Travel to and from the HK international airport was short. Half an hour by bus or 15 min by airport express train in the Kowloon airport check in station. One of two elevators in the hotel was under renovation repair, but we did not experience a long wait. It will definitely be better when the improvement is finished. Overall, I will rate it a five star.

Value for money, YES!

This was our second trip to Hong kong, so were more interested in exploring further, rather than just do the standard tourist visits. If you want the looks of the bay, book at shangri la Kwoloon for a couple of nights. GREAT View. Nathan hotel is extremely well located, 3 blocks from Metro statio. 1 block from night market. 10 Blocks from nice shopping centers. Room was better than european standar in Size, nice TV, good shower! A bit noisy, but well, you didnt go to Hong kong for the SPA athmosphere (I Hope) Cheers.

Great business/tourist hotel

Great location near subway, buses, train station, and endless shopping and restaurants. Small but very nice room (a 'Nathan room') with free water, internet and a great breakfast buffet. Coffee in room and in lounge. Giant TV. Room amazingly quiet., Will stay here again next time I'm in Hong Kong.

Time-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Get an 'octopus card' for using mass transit. Works on buses, ferries, subways and even in 7-11s and a few other stores. Put money into the card and, if you don't use it all, you get a refund when you turn it back in.
