Surprised by HongKong standard

Surprised by HongKong standard that room (exec) was fairly big. It's clean and brightly lit. Service staff courteous. Airport bus A21 (fare HKD33) stops right next to hotel on arrival and for departure, go across the road and walk about 20M only. Very convenient location with good restaurants and within shopping malls. I will definitely return stay at next opportunity.

a) Check in time is stated at

a) Check in time is stated at 2pm, but there were rooms available at 215pm when I arrived and I had to wait for more than 1 hour to check in b) The "unlimited access to lounge" on the Nathan Floor is nothing more than a tiny room with a tiny couch, single chair and 2 computers, with some magazines, coffee and tiny canned drinks. No waiters, beer, cocktails etc. Nothing like the regular club lounge. Don't set your expectations too high. c) Service is typical Hong Kong style. No nonsense, business-like, no frills, nothing over the top. d) Location, although along Nathan Road, is not that fantastic. It's still a good ten minutes walk to the nearest Jordan MTR station, and there is hardly any decent shopping centres or restaurants around the hotel. e) Pricing is really nuts for this class of hotel. I rather pay a bit more for [chain hotels].

Compare to hotels around that

Compare to hotels around that area, Nathan Hotel offers the best value for money. Rooms are comfortable and clean (Nathan Floor rooms). Service is good in general. Location is near tourist haunt of Temple Street, "Women Street", "Man Street", etc. Can get a small glimpse of old HK. It is mid way between Jordan and Yau Ma Tei MTR, rather convenient.

I would recommend the Nathan Hotel,

I would recommend the Nathan Hotel, because it is a good area. There were a few things that I wasn't happy about. The hot water takes a long time to get hot as well. Also the breakfast service was a bit slow. The staff in the reception were very friendly. I would stay at the Nathan Hotel again.

Staff very friendly and provided

Staff very friendly and provided great service. Location good and room comfortable and spacious. Only disadvantage was that breakfast was on the 15th floor and elevator only went to 14th floor so it was a bit difficult for me as I am disabled.

The Hotel is conveniently placed

The Hotel is conveniently placed for Hong Kong shopping tourists. The room is comfortable and well equipped, but the Hotel ammenities otherwise are few and rather sparse. Breakfast is good, but the space to accomodate all those staying at peak breakfast time is totally inadequate!

We were really pleased with our

We were really pleased with our choice of hotel in Hong Kong and would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others. The room was really large, very clean and functional. It was also in easy walking distance from the Temple Markets. We caught the 21A bus from the airport and were dropped off within easy walking distance from the Hotel
