50 yrs old hotel with lmpolite service
In the morning! None of the hotel employee know how to say Hello or Good-morning to customer! Service attitude impolite, at one time, even asking me whether I am living in this hotel or not, hardly helping customer handling luggage. Privacy Security is worst, hence, one of my business friend attempt to allocate which room I stay. The hotel employee in the front desk simply release the information without asking any question to a stranger. While the time we are check-out from the hotel, the desk clerk attempt to withheld our cash deposit without release it. Wiseguy type to play dumb with their pay quest in hoping that we may forget to ask the money back. Hong Kong is a busy city, most people are working 12 hours on their job, however, it is not a good excuse to treat someone who is visiting here.

Life is good, let us share it. Money simply means nothing, just enjoy it. Twelve hours job can not upgrade the Hong Kong city better, even all the class of world brand top-notches goods are here for a group of heavy loaded corrupt $$$ shoppers from Shanghai. It was not the true face of Hong Kong in the old days. A word from an ancient traveller. (Smile, friends!) LOL

Excellent location in Hong Kong
The Marco Polo has a great location for shopping, restaurants and access to ferries that take you to Central and Macau. The room was much larger than expected and had a great view looking over the harbor. The staff was always very helpful although the concierge made a bad call regarding a restaurant (Partly my fault as I waited until Saturday evening to find a place).

Shopping in the immediate area is great, but it is all very high end. Unless you're Bill Gates, it's best to make a day trip to the markets.

Reasonably priced in Hong Kong
Was in Hong Kong for a conference which took place across the harbor at the IFC Mall 4-Seasons Hotel. The Marco Polo was very well priced and much more convenient that staying at other hotels on the HK-island, because it is around the corner from the Star Ferry that takes you across the harbor and just minutes walk from the IFC Mall.

This is a great hotel. Located
This is a great hotel. Located in Ocean Terminal and Harbour City, and opposite the new Heritage 1881 shops. Close to shopping districts, transport hubs, restaurants, and supermarket. Watch out for special promos of this hotel. You will not regret it.

Frequent Travels May Find Better Value
Was on a trip for family matter, and needed accommodations for a single night. Location was the most important deciding factor for ease in meeting up with others. Amenities were decent with respect to typical US hotels, so cost is reflective of location/possibly view. Will depend heavily on your priorities in getting bang for your hard-earned buck in these economic times. Am a frequent traveler to HK.
