A smart, inviting and unpretentiously hip spot on the Golden Mile
As the name implies, this hotel on the Golden Mile is smart, polished and a fantastic deal. The mood at Eaton is fun, yet professional and the design sophisticated and stylish. Balancing amenities for work and play, the function rooms provide many options for business meetings while a lovely rooftop pool and bar help guests unwind. Everything is capably run by attentive, smiling staff.
Highlights
- Inviting, heated rooftop pool served by a poolside bar
- Fun and sophisticated contemporary Asian décor
- Unexpected treats such as Wii Fit at the fitness center and free tai chi classes
Rooms
Standard room amenities include iPod dock, broadband Internet access, flat-screen TV and classic cherry furniture. Ceiling moldings, dark wood and sliding window-shade panels create a polished look. Distinctive details include the rounded wall of windows in city club rooms, and high-tech work spaces in BizSuites. Various bathrooms are outfitted with rain shower heads, others with bathtubs.
Features
If it were not for the wonderfully attentive staff, the hotel's good looks would lose a bit of sheen. Luckily, the guest experience is as attractive as the stylish décor. A newly renovated lobby and garden area welcomes guests. Visit the inviting rooftop pool for a drink at the poolside bar or head to an adjacent 24-hour fitness center featuring state-of-the-art equipment, free weights and Wii Fit. Seven restaurants and bars in the hotel include a relaxed outdoor patio bar, a Japanese izakaya (pub-style restaurant) and Yat Tung Heen, serving dim sum and other Cantonese delights. Enjoyed my stay thoroughly
The Eaton Smart goes above and beyond. The staff is very courteous and helpful--they know Hong Kong inside and out. The amenities like the lounges and restaurants are amazingly well-kept and beautiful spaces. The room is admittedly small but that is just Hong Kong where space is at a premium. One thing I'd improve is the number of television channels, when I want to detune after jaunting about HK I'd like more than just news channels but this is a small gripe.

Compact yet convienent
Great location, 5 min walk to the Jordan metro and located right in the middle of Kowloon. The room was quite small but well decorated and set up, and very comfortable. The price was right. Only downside is lack of a view compared to other 4/5 star in HK.

Great Location!
This hotel is in the middle of the excitement! Only a few minutes walking distance from Temple Street and another walk to the famous Hong Kong skyline, this hotel has the location, amenities, and service! Even though it is in the center of the hustle and bustle, the hotel successfully created a quiet getaway. At the end of a long day of sightseeing and touring, it was a pleasure to return to the hotel for some relaxation. The service from everyone-from bellman, front desk help, and housekeepers- was exceptional. Highly, highly recommend this hotel for your stay in HK.

Time-saving tip:
In Hotel
Upon arrival, go to the concierge desk and ask for their card with Chinese translations. This came in handy while traveling the streets, especially with taxis. There was Chinese on the card saying to drive to Eaton Hotel, along with a map.

Location, price, polite
This hotel puts you on Nathan Rd in Kowloon in Hong Kong. An excellent place to start and really immerses you in the city. I like the real-city environment here. 5 minute walk to Jordan station which is then 2 or 3 stops from Central and the docks. Location, for this price, is excellent. The hotel itself is very nice, very clean, and has restaraunts and bars if thats youre thing. The prices weren't outrageous either there. There is a 7-Eleven across the street from one exit, Starbucks 30 seconds away walking distance on the corner. The rooms were a bit small but that's to be expected in Hong Kong. Otherwise fully appointed. My only problem honestly was the shampoo was pretty awful. The beds were a tiny bit stiff, but nothing really to complain about. Staff was nice. I'll be staying here again.

Money-saving tip:
Not Applicable
Get an Octopus card at any train station customer service desk. It's a reloadable card for trains and other transportation. You have to make a HK$50 (like $7 US) deposit to get one, but you get HK$43 of that back when you turn it in. Totally worth it for the time savings alone, but it can actually save you money (charges you less to use it for some things). Use it for trains, buses, taxis, convenience stores (ie 7-Eleven etc), fast food places (Mcdonalds, etc)

Comfortable deluxe rooms
The rooms are on the small side, but okay for HK. The deluxe rooms are good- recently remodeled and comfortable, but the regular rooms are not what I would expect from 4-stars.
