A smart, inviting and unpretentiously hip spot on the Golden Mile

As the name implies, this hotel on the Golden Mile is smart, polished and a fantastic deal. The mood at Eaton is fun, yet professional and the design sophisticated and stylish. Balancing amenities for work and play, the function rooms provide many options for business meetings while a lovely rooftop pool and bar help guests unwind. Everything is capably run by attentive, smiling staff.

Highlights
  • Inviting, heated rooftop pool served by a poolside bar
  • Fun and sophisticated contemporary Asian décor
  • Unexpected treats such as Wii Fit at the fitness center and free tai chi classes
Rooms

Standard room amenities include iPod dock, broadband Internet access, flat-screen TV and classic cherry furniture. Ceiling moldings, dark wood and sliding window-shade panels create a polished look. Distinctive details include the rounded wall of windows in city club rooms, and high-tech work spaces in BizSuites. Various bathrooms are outfitted with rain shower heads, others with bathtubs.

Features

If it were not for the wonderfully attentive staff, the hotel's good looks would lose a bit of sheen. Luckily, the guest experience is as attractive as the stylish décor. A newly renovated lobby and garden area welcomes guests. Visit the inviting rooftop pool for a drink at the poolside bar or head to an adjacent 24-hour fitness center featuring state-of-the-art equipment, free weights and Wii Fit. Seven restaurants and bars in the hotel include a relaxed outdoor patio bar, a Japanese izakaya (pub-style restaurant) and Yat Tung Heen, serving dim sum and other Cantonese delights. Several function rooms provide elegant backdrops for business meetings or social events run by professional event management staff. The executive club lounge is spacious with plenty of cozy seating, an extensive library and all-day snacks and drinks.

it's very good hotel and good location too. But the only bad thing is you have to pay over 100 hong kong dollar if you want to use the internet in your room.

Good hotel, after a disappointing start

After staying in two superb hotels in Beijing and Xian we were looking forward to more of the same, however initially that was not what we got. Room 1806 was disgusting,it was shabby and damp and in reality no one should have even been shown to the room in the first place. Seemingly it had not been re-furbished, well hopefully it will be now. Anyway we complained and whilst we had to pay for an upgrade our new room was lovely. The staff at reception and in the Metro Bar were very helpful and pleasant.

Good location

Great location on Nathan Road, nearest MTR (Jordan station) only 5min away giving easy access to Hong Kong Island to go up the Peak by tram and to Lantau Island to visit Big Buddha via cable cars. A couple of stops to Tsim Sha Tsui to see the Symphony of Lights from Kowloon Peninsula or take the Star Ferry across the Harbour or see it from the other side. Get an Octopus card and can use on the MTR, bus, ferry and even in some convenience stores! Temple night Market only 2 streets away, great for food late at night. Room and bathroom adequate although on the small side; even though paid for upgrade to Deluxe room! Insufficient wardrobe/drawer space for 2 people. No iron/trouser press in room. No WIFI in hotel lobby although have use of desktop computers. Had to book our own pink dolphin watching tour as concierge not sure.

Sightseeing tip: Not Applicable

Book in advance to save time in queues especially for cable cars on Lantau Island. Pink dolphin tour is very popular and spaces fill up quickly. Go up the Peak on your first clear day to make the most of the view and again at night.

smallest room I ever stayed in

arrived mid p.m. to a very nice lobby. Check in was quick and efficient. Go to my room and could barely turn around. Bed was bigger than a single but smaller than a queen. Nice bathroom but so claustrophobic. Only went back to t room to fall asleep.

Great place to stay

A great place to stay, the room was spotless, the staff helpful and the location was great for what I needed. I was travelling on my own and felt totally at ease. I had a single room, it was good size but the only thing was there was not really much storage space for my clothes, not a problem for me but thought worth a mention. Good food in the hotel too and Main Street cafe great for a coffee!

Good Position and Great Service

I found the service to be very good at this hotel. It was also positioned perfectly, just on Nathan Road, but not down at the waterfront, so it was a nice walk (about 1.5 kms) down there and it was very near Temple Street & Ladies markets. I would definitely stay there again.

Great location, awesome hotel

I arrived to Hong Kong VERY late, with my 2 yr old and 5 month old in tow. The staff was so helpful and I was pleasantly surprised with the beauty and modern style of the hotel. Our room was small but very adequate. The rooftop gym and pool were out of this world. We enjoyed the room service. The hotel offers several great restaurants without the stuffy prices. The hotel is in a very convenient location; close to MTR stations. Just a step outside the door are the street markets, jade market and great food on every corner.

Everything was nice, i have only 2 comments: 1- the package had not included the breakfast and this was not to clear when i buy the package 2- the advertisment said internet free on e-point, this can cause double interpretation, is better to tell internet free on the lobby not on the room rgds mauricio
