Overview

This Causeway Bay hotel has a felicitous location between Happy Valley Racecourse, a wealth of shopping centers and the Wan Chai business district. The hotel staff are the stars of this show, elevating the classiness of the hotel. Standard rooms may be modest in size and decor, but upgraded rooms are a palpable step up in luxury. Quiet nights promote proper rest, but several nearby public transport options put travelers at the heart of business, shopping and tourist districts in minutes.

Rooms

On one side of the hotel lies the Happy Valley Racecourse, and on the other side, windows are fashioned with blasted-sand windows. The location of the hotel creates a quiet zone for peaceful sleep. All non-smoking rooms have Wi-Fi access and smart phone. Standard rooms meet the fundamental needs of travelers with satellite TV, in-room safe and the added perk of a pillow menu. Higher-end rooms and suites have views of the racecourse and city, with enriched decor and additional space for work or relaxation.

Property features

The excellent service shines as brightly as the sparkling lobby. Adjoining the lobby is the intimate 3T bar, whose outdoor patio lets patrons relax over drinks while soaking in the street life. Diners sample delicious Sichuan and Huai-yang cuisines at on-site He Jiang. A small fitness center and two 24-hour business centers serve in a pinch, while the Foot Joy Club treats weary feet with the pampered attention they deserve. The hotel's little touches add up to great value in Causeway Bay.

Smelly Small Room w/ limited Wifi

Would not recommend Sun, Dec 13, 2015
The room was smelly and extremely small. The wifi was free for only one device otherwise, you had to pay a ridiculous amount per hour, day, or week. Not very convenient to the Subway System (Octopus). Not very close to anything except horse racing if you're lucky enough to have one during your stay. They do, however, have shuttle buses to most areas on Hong Kong Island.

Family holiday

Would recommend Mon, Nov 2, 2015
We took our son and daughter-in-law to Hong Kong for a week to celebrate his 40th birthday. Chose the hotel from other reviews as we wanted to be in the Wan Chai area. Our rooms were first class-25th floor with racecourse views. Arrived mid morning and were allocated our rooms by 11.30. Check in was faultless. Shuttle service first class from and to Hong Kong Airport Express terminal. Can not express an opinion on the hotel dining as we ate all meals out. Various restaurants within an easy walk. Overall a very good experience.

Fantastic trip

Would recommend Wed, Sep 9, 2015
Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a great view of the race course and the amenities of the hotel was wonderful. They provided us with a free cell phone which helped us navigate and the shuttle bus was a great addition to the many available transportation around the area. We'll definitely stay there again!

Two nights in Hong Kong

Would recommend Fri, Jun 5, 2015
We had a quick stay in Hong Kong on our way home from China and stayed at the Cosmopolitan. Overall our stay was nice. VERY small rooms but I believe that is standard in HK. The breakfast buffet wasn't all that great compared to what we had at other hotels. They upgraded one of our rooms and we had a front row seat for the races one night so that was awesome!

Convenient in Hong Kong

Would not recommend Fri, May 22, 2015
The Hotel is more than fair to have agood stay in Hong Kong, easy access, mobile phone free, wifi free, the only thing is that the staff is not so friendly, but so far much better than the other hotels I use to stay in HK.

Great stay!

Would recommend Tue, Apr 28, 2015
Out of all of the hotels my friend and I stayed at in mainland China and Hong Kong, 2 weeks worth, this one had the softest more western style beds. It was a nice surprise to have that at our last stop!

Good Hotel in Good Location

Would recommend Tue, Nov 11, 2014
Stayed in a Grand de Luxe room on 21st Floor. Good sized room for Hong Kong. En suite is adequate. Broadband was included and met my needs. Cleaning very good. Shuttle service very useful. Breakfast was often a challenge - queues. All in all, a good experience and one I will repeat.
