Go to Hotel in HK

I travel to HK quite a bit, for both work and vacation, and I always stay at City Garden. The combination of location, value, and excellent service is unbeatable. The only downside is, its usually full of mainland Chinese visitors - but you only hear and see them in the lobby. So highly recommended regardless.

Trip with a baby

Overall the hotel was very good. Very short walk to metro system and/or buses. The housekeeping staff did not vacuum nor did they take out the trash on a daily basis. Since we were traveling with a baby still in diapers, it would have been nice to have the trash emptied. No crib was available either.

11 days stay over xmas and new year

The room is bigger than usual for Hong Kong (Compared to two other similar priced hotel nearby), which made the stay much more comfortable. Some nice things are adapters for your electronics (I am from the US) and two free bottle of water each day. Toothpaste and toothbrush are also provided. The gym equipment is quite new, however there is no barbell and the machine is missing a few attachment (ie. bar for Lat pull down)

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

The hotel is a short walk from the Fortress Hill MTR station. There is also quite a few places to dine nearby, including the Michelin one star restaurant inside the hotel.

Convenient, comfortable, clean

Only about 5 minutes walk from the train station. Staff were great and tended to my needs. Room comfortable clean, and spacious. Only negative if anything is the air conditioning noise, a little loud, but overall very satisfied with my stay at the City Garden Hotel.

Comfortable, Clean, Convenient

We stayed at City Garden Hotel for a week in November 2012. We found the room clean and modern. The beds were the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever slept on. The hotel was convenient to Hong Kong's excellent subway system and the surrounding neighborhood fun and interesting. The many nearby local restaurants made each night an eating adventure. The hotel's restaurants were good too, though more upscale and pricey than the local fare. We were attending a trade show at the Hong Kong exposition centre in Wan Chai, a short subway ride away.

Ordinary hotel

The hotel room was average--you have your basics but no more. The room is fairly clean. The restaurant for the breakfast buffet is international with a blend of American and Chinese food, which was pretty good. The front desk is friendly and helpful. The immediate area does not have any nightlife but it's a convenient MTR ride to neighboring parts of town like LKF for happy hour and international fare.

Friendly staff, very nice facilities and rooms. Close to the Metro and lots of little shops, vegetable markets and supermarkets close-by.
