Great vacation!
I traveled to Teguc with my teenage son to visit my older son who is teaching. Hotel Maya is great! We checked out other hotels with similiar price - and glad we stayed at Maya... Nice rooms - great pool and hot tub, casino next door, friendly people. Amazing breakfast which was included.. eggs to order and fresh squeezed juices... Quiet and safe area..No problems - would definatly recommend to others!

Long walk from hotel
Check out the farmers market next to the stadium - I think its only on Saturday - but its huge! Also take a bus trip to Valle De Angeles and Santa Lucia - quiet ,quaint towns in the mountains...In Tegus eat at El Patio!!!
