This beach hotel is situated on the most cosmopolitan, sandy and pebbled beach in the city of Rhodes and just a few minutes' walk from the town centre. Less than 100 m from the new 'Casino of Rhodes', the hotel is an ideal choice for those wishing to combine the advantages of a city hotel with that of a beach front location. The unique medieval city, classified as a world heritage monument, is only minutes away.
Your day will start with a hearty American buffet breakfast. For lunch or dinner choose among a choice of international menus or a la carte dishes. The bar, with its popular terrace, is an intimate relaxing place to meet for cocktails or afternoon tea.

The Hotel Ibiscus is hands down the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in in Europe. The desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent as were the wait staff, who were always polite and eager to serve. Dinner was a little on the
tame side, with more common types of food (still delicious, but the local cuisine is much more interesting). The room was spacious, in fact, let me explain that there was room enough for a breakfast table, 2 chairs, a double bed, a wardrobe and you still had room to do push-ups or, hell, even jumping jacks, spin around three times with your arms outstretched, get dizzy and be able to easily manage not to bump in to anything! The location also cannot be beat, as it is under a 10 minute walk to the harbor and old town. The only real drawback was the in-room shower, which was one of those corner jobs, perhaps 24"x24", with a shower curtain that didn't quite keep the water off the floor. In any case, I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rhodes.

Inside the Nea Agora is a wonderful Greek-style fast food place called George's Special. The food was excellent, and the local beer called ALFA was always crisp and cold, and the Retsina is also good. They served Gyro, Souvlaki and the like, with large portions, very reasonably priced and very friendly staff.
