This is a top quality property, a haven of peace and relaxation in a friendly atmosphere. The natural setting, variety of activities and proximity to Loutraki, Corinth and Athens makes Poseidon resort the obvious choice for those who are looking for an island resort style property within easy driving distance to the sights of the capital and other nearby places of interest (EP 09/09) The core of bungalows and buildings were built during the 60's and 70's in contemporary summer style. There have been further additions and expansions through the years until the most recent renovation in spring 2006. The Esperides area however is brand new, finished in 2009. All buildings and public areas are well kept and tidy. There are 2 outdoor and one indoor heated swimming pool, conference facilities and even a 900 seat theater, where receptions, concerts and movie nights can be held. Poseidon Resort is located just outside Loutraki, a cosmopolitan and vibrant seaside town 13km from historical Corinth and one hour's drive from central Athens. Hidden inside 150 hectares of gardens and pine trees, the resort resembles a small village on a hill with neat rows of bungalows connected by paths that descend to a private pebbly cove.

Poor service (indifferent to quite unfriendly, promisses not being kept, room service needed regular reminders that we needed the room cleaned,no hotel taxi/transport available).
Rental car or own car absolutely essential. Bus stop at the entrance
of the hotel has no protection against sun or rain (no shelter) and busses run in the daytime around every hour.
Quality of food does not correspond to the price one has to pay (you can eat much better and also cheaper in Athens).
View from room with sea view is nice and room was quiet.
Beach (pebbles) and swimming pool were clean.
Room was clean but furnishings were not what one would expect for this price category.
Overall not to be recommended unless considerable changes take place in particular for services and food.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short drive from hotel
There is no shop in the hotel so for example for water you eiter pay an excessive hotel price (2.50 euros vs 0.22 euros in the shop) or drive to the next town with your car.
