This is a boutique property of unique quality and traditional style, and a type of hotel that has long been missing from Kalambaka. The guests are guaranteed a comfortable and luxurious stay in a unique environment (08/08 EP) It is a 19th century grade listed rural townhouse, completely restored its original glory and beyond in 2007. All the original elements such as stone masonry walls, wooden beams and the terra-cotta roof are preserved. This traditional townhouse is located in Kastraki, a quiet district of Kalambaka just on the foot of the Holy Rocks of Meteora. The town center is within easy reach on foot or by taxi. Kastraki is a residential area that is being undergoing a rejuvenation process in the past few years, with many houses and public areas restored to their 19th century grandeur, turning it into an area of major architectural interest.

Even though we had to walk about 3 miles from the train station in Kalambaka (the hotel is located in the near by town of Kastraki), the view of the valley and the Meteora landscape as you get closer worth every step on the road.
I got a very
spacious and comfortable room (not common in Europe).
The breakfast was OK, getting cookies and bread for the long walk to Meteora.
I will come back with my wife (this time I went with my older son).
