Friendly and Safe Hotel
Samaria is a hotel that caters to business people from all over world. It is spotless, staff is lovely, breakfast selection ample. Love location, can walk all over city and touristy area as well. Feel safe as woman alone. Has secure parking lot. Just opened outdoor patio for breakfast or coffee. Sandwiches available at the bar until late. Hotel next door has been added and can access that as well. Easy to locate from airport.

Leave a day to walk/hike the Samaria Gorge. Walking shoes ok, take water and snax, food. 18 KM I think. Book trip thru tour group, take you to top of mountain, you hike down to southern coast, board ferry and brought to Sfakia where buses pick u up and return to city. Worth doing!

Good City Hotel
Have stayed several times. Wish it had a pool but walking distance to limani (dock area) and downtown shopping and restaurants. Staff is wonderful, rooms simple and spotless, breakfast excellent, nice bar in evenings. Big plus is parking lot next to hotel! Short drive or bus ride to nice beaches and easy drive to airport.
