The Ionian Konstantinoupolis Hotel was built during the British Protectorate -1814 - 1864. It first operated as a Hotel offering room and board by a family from Konstantinoupolis who moved to Corfu to escape the Turks. Considering its advantageous position by the main port the hotel was in a great demand between the business world of the time as well as the high society of Europe who chose Corfu for their holidays. From 1878 up until 1993 -when it closed down- the hotel attracted various celebrities and artists who came to the island to perform. The Konstantinoupolis is a fully renovated hotel with great respect to the history and the architectural tradition of Corfu. It disposes 31 rooms all with bathroom and fully equipped with Air Conditioning, TV and telephone. The hotel is located in the center of the Old Port with easy access to the town's exits and entries eliminating the need to cross the busy commercial section.

Good price, great location, good choice

An older hotel with a lot of character. Two triple rooms met our (6 ladies) expectations - price, location, cleanliness. Was noisy with windows open due to market activity but with the AC on and the windows closed, was very quiet. Nice selection on the breakfast buffet with an attendant to replenish as needed. Would definitely stay here again.
